"Paul, dinner." I called up the stairs, but no reply came. I walked up there and knocked on the door, sighing when I saw he wasn't there again. He'd been changing recently, and I know it wasn't really my job to care since I was only his little sister (only by a couple years), but for awhile now it's just been us two and I'm worried about him. He'd be out all hours of the day and barely spoke to me anymore.

"Paul, I need a ride to the store, I need to do the grocery shopping." I spoke up, the one time Paul had actually showed his face at dinner time. "I can't, I'm busy." He got up, placing his plate on the side and left swiftly. I put my shoes on and followed, staying as far back as I could so he couldn't see me but I could definitely see him. I followed him down a driveway. Is that Sam Uley's house? I slowly made my way to the door to see a few shirtless guys sat around a table. "Are we sure that my sister won't be the same? I hate that I can't tell her but if there's a possibility..." My brother trailed off, he was talking to Sam... Who definitely never used to look that hot. "You guys know you're getting spyed on right?" A voice came from behind me making me jump. All heads snapped up, my eyes meeting Sams, him stopping all movement for a second. "Y/N, you shouldn't be here." Paul stated, standing up, and walking over to me. Every step he took forwards I took one back. "Don't take another step until you tell me what the hell is going on." I was backed up against a tree now so it didn't really matter. Paul looked back at Sam as if he was asking for permission. What the hell? Sam nodded, watching me carefully, as if I'd run away if someone made the wrong move.

And I did. My brother had just transformed into a gigantic wolf in front of me, how was I supposed to react? I ran and ran until I had no breath left and slumped down on a log. He said back at Sam's house that there was a possibility I could be one too? I didn't want to be one, gosh it looked awful. "Hi." I jumped slightly at the voice behind me, and turned to see Uley not even an ounce out of breath. Had he followed me? Or did he change into a wolf too. Maybe not, Paul's clothes were completely torn and Sam was wearing the same outfit he had been before. "I don't want to be like that." I whispered, and he sighed as he placed himself next to me, wrapping a jacket around my arms. I hadn't realised how cold it was until he had done that, and I was thankful he'd found me. "None of us had a choice, it just happened one day. I didn't have anyone to help me, but Paul and the other guys have had me as a guide, so if it does I'll be there every step of the way." I nodded slowly at his words. Would I really object to a hot older guy helping me? Fuck no. "And if it doesn't happen? Just not going to speak to me? I mean we can communicate through Paul, he can be the wolf boy messenger" he chuckled at my words, that's the first time I'd seen him smile and honestly he should smile 24/7. "If it doesn't I guess we can spend time together on a date sometime." I tried to keep my cool as those words left his mouth. "Wow, so I'm only good for a date if I'm human? My unawakened wolf is offended." I stood up, and crossing my arms, but faking offence wasn't going to last long considering how hot he was. "Let's just take you home. Maybe I can force Paul to cook for you for once." Maybe dating the alpha of a pack of wolves wouldn't be so bad, whether I became one or not. (But please Lord keep me human, I have a hard time shaving as it is.)
