Hey babes

Kaminari's POV
"So, what can I do for you?" Joue asked.
"Uh...well..." She peered at me curiously, awaiting some kind of response. "Aren't you suppose to like...read my problems or something?"
"Read your problems?" she asked, wearing an amused smirk.
"Yeah?" I said. She sat back in her chair, opening her mouth. I thought she might speak but she just shut it, having taken in a breath through her mouth which was exiting her nose now.
"I suppose you could say that's my job, but you can't really read something that wasn't written first," she said, crossing her arms. "I think you were expecting me to read your mind when you walked in, is that correct?"
"...I guess."
"That's not really my job or my quirk exactly," she said, peering at me. "I might have good intuition, but I'm no mind reader."
"Emotion reader."
"Exactly, but how is me knowing your nervous any help if you don't explain why? Even just a little," Joue asked, sitting up in her chair.
"Well, I don't really know. So. Figure that," I shrugged and she pursed her lips. She seemed to ponder something for a good set of seconds before she situated herself in her chair again.
"Are you hungry Kaminari?" she asked. I shrugged again and she opened up a drawer. She set a small package of cookies in front of me, shutting the drawer. "Let's sit on the floor."
"...okay," I said, taking the package. She sat down across from me on a beanbag, appearing far less intimidating.
"So, I don't really know you all that well," Joue said. "Why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself?"
"Uh...well...I'm a first year. I've got an electrification quirk. I hate school."
"Hate school?"
"Yeah, my brain's pretty fried so. And being a teen is hard."
"Man...that really sucks," she said. "You like any of your classes?" I stared at her oddly.
"English."
"Present Mic must be your teacher then," she said. "He's a very fun guy."
"Yeah."
"You like English...the language itself or do you want to go somewhere where English is the main language?" I shrugged.
"I'm good at it."
"Ahh so your brain isn't fried," she said. "Different talents call for different intelligences. Mines psychology. I was never a fan of Math."
"Math is stupid."
"I guess telling time and counting money is useful, but I can tell you right now I've never used long division since high school," Joue said. I glanced down at her hand moving. Her pen drew circles over a sheet of paper. She wasn't taking notes at all, she was just scribbling. I glanced at the bag of cookies in my hand, taking one and eating it. "They're oatmeal chocolate chip. The best kind of cookie."
"Oatmeal?"
"You like it don't you?"
"Yeah..."
"Goddamn raisins ruining oatmeal cookies' rep," she said. She peered at me, switching the subject. "You like music?"
"...yeah."
"What kind?"
"Any, I guess."
"You should share some of your music choices with me," Joue suggested.
