This is just some more background on (y/n) and Deku since there's a little bit in the first chapter.

Enjoy~

(y/n)'s POV

"That's ridiculous," I said.

"Why is it ridiculous?"

"You shouldn't put Kacchan in your hero notebook. He's no hero."

"Well...yeah, but--"

"Didn't he literally burn your last one? Come on Izuku. Your standards for him are too low."

"Maybe he'll get better in the future! You don't know."

"Yeah right, I don't plan on ever giving him the time of day. He's such a bi--"

"(y/n)!"

"Oh chill," I said, walking with him to his building. Ai was busy at a restaurant, trying out their new lunch menu to write about. I was scheduled to stay with Izuku for the afternoon. I was hoping Ai would bring back something from her taste test.

"I think the new All Might special is on."

"I know you love All Might and everything, but do we have to watch it? You've already seen it at least 3 times haven't you?" I pointed out and he scoffed.

"Hah no," he replied, holding open the door for me.

"Mmhmm," I hummed skeptically. We made our way up to his floor where his mother, Inko, was waiting with a few dumplings fresh on a plate.

"Hello," she greeted, ruffling Izuku's hair first. She opened her arms to me and I gratefully took a hug from her.

"Thank you for letting me stay for the afternoon," I said and she let out a sigh.

"Of course, of course!"

"Izuku, you can take this plate," she said, handing him the steaming dumplings. "I know they're your favorite." She turned to me with a smile, which was absolutely true. I adored dumplings.

"Thank you."

"You're very welcome." I followed Izuku to his room, taking a look at all his All Might stuff. I never stopped looking around at it whenever I was here. It was quite overwhelming and I would never be able to sleep in here. The few sleepovers we had were always in the living room. I eagerly took a dumpling, shoving the whole thing in my mouth and Izuku looked at me strangely.

"If this was katsudon you'd act the same way," I pointed out, taking another.

"Fair enough," he said. "Hey, who are you going to the dance?"

"Eh, it's not so important in 6th grade," I pointed out. "I was just going to go with you unless you were asking someone."

"Oh no. Me?"

"You're right, you would never ask someone."

"Hey!" he called, tossing a neck pillow at me. I caught it before it hit me and I held it out to see it was All Might's signature hair pieces. I looked at Izuku judgmentally, lowering the neck pillow.

"Just how close to All Might's hair do you want to get?" I asked. "Wrap it around your neck, make a sweater out of it, eat it?"

"What?! No way, don't be weird."

"Says the kid whose wall is plastered with an adult man."

"Oh whatever," he said. I took the plate from him, eating another dumpling as I sat down. He flopped over, placing his head in my lap. I held up the plate, looking down at him.

"Hi."

"Hey," he replied. His hair floofed backwards and I ruffled it slightly with my free hand. I went back to the dumplings, smelling more in the kitchen. "You know you're getting to be just as mean as Kacchan."

"As if!" I called, shaking my head. I poked each of his 8 prominent freckles in a figure 8 pattern. After a couple rounds around he scrunched up his face and I turned back to the food.

'You think I can become a hero still right?"

"Yeah, I do," I said. "There's always police you know."

"I guess."

"I think you're going to do a lot of good, hero or not." I hummed, setting the now empty plate aside. He peered up at me and let out a soft sigh.

"You promise me you're going to try out at UA?" I glanced at him.

"Yeah of course."

"Even if I don't get to, you'll make me a sidekick at your agency right?"

"Totally Izuku. Don't you worry," I replied. I pat his head, giving him a reassuring smile. "You know everything will be okay."

"Yeah I do." I glanced up before he caught my gaze again. I pressed my lips into a thin line.

"You want to watch that All Might special don't you?"

"Yeah, really bad."

"Alright," I scoffed. He dragged me out to the living room. Inko placed another plate of dumplings on the coffee table and I smiled. Deku put on the TV, flopping back on my lap. I smirked slightly as he handed up the plate preemptively.

"You see that? I've always wanted to be able to do that!"

"Who wouldn't Deku?"
