Hi, it's my birthday. I'm 19 now.

Enjoy~

Aizawa's POV

I closed up my classroom for the day, locking the door on my way out. I had a few small gifts from my students who probably ascertained my birthday information from Mic's big mouth. The hallways filtered with students and I looked down the hall towards Joue who was weaving in and out of the crowd towards my classroom. I paused before unlocking the door again in case we needed to enter. She caught up to the door, glancing up at me.

"I didn't expect you to show up during my office hours," I said, nonchalantly.

"Oh, yeah, I've just got this for you," she said, offering up a bag. I nudged the door open, stepping inside and refusing to take the bag yet so she would have to follow me. She did, leaving the door open for me to shut. She glanced back at it and then at me, her face rosy. She offered up the bag again and I took it. "Happy birthday! It is your birthday right?"

"Yes."

"Okay good," she replied.

"How did you know?" I asked, glancing at the bag.

"Oh, well I saw it somewhere in some hero thing and then I asked (y/n) to confirm," she replied. I always remember birthdays pretty well, yours is easy though. It's 12 days before mine."

"Your birthday is the 20th?"

"Yeah," she shrugged. "Go on and open it, I thought I might have to either leave it here or hunt you down." Joue gestured her hands towards me and I glanced in the bag. I pulled out the card, finding it polite to open it first. "Actually don't open that, look at the gift. The card isn't important."

Joue went the lengths to take the card from my hand and toss it on the front desk. I gave her an odd glance to which she just smiled awkwardly. I opened up the bag finding a small box first. I took them out.

"They're noise cancelling ear plugs," she stated. "They're really small too so when you pretend you're not listening you can actually not be listening at all."

"Thank you."

"Keep going!" she urged. It seemed as though she was more excited about me opening the gift than anything else. I took out a large bundle, taking away the tissue paper. It was a brand new sleeping bag, this one black. "I know you've got a yellow one, so I got this black one. Suits your aesthetic more." I opened my mouth to say thank you, but paused when I saw her eagerly looking at the bag. I pulled out the last thing, a large bag of gummies. When I glanced back up she looked ready to burst.

"What?"

"They're cats," she said, smiling at me. I glanced at the bag again, seeing they indeed were an assortment of cat heads and paws. My brow furrowed and I stared long at the candy, then to the other 2 gifts on the table. I looked back up at her and her smile fell to curiosity. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you very much for the gifts. That's very thoughtful of you," I replied.

"Of course, you're very welcome!" I reached for the card and she glanced at the clock. "I've actually got to go, I'll see you later!"

"But--" She was already gone from the room. I opened the card anyways, leaning up against a desk.

Happy Birthday!

I hope you day was great and will remain great for however long your birthday may last. Treat yourself to a nap. :) I'm so very lucky to have you around as a coworker and friend. Enjoy your gifts! The best birthday wishes to one of the best people I know.
