Hello

There's an 16 or 18+ joke in here btw, I'll put a warning before and after :)

Enjoy~

Aizawa's POV

"So..."

I looked up towards Mic who was cheesily leaning against the chair armrest, staring at me expectantly.

"So."

"This weekend is Valentine's Day," he hinted.

"I'm not taking you out," I scoffed.

"Wh--no not me," he said. "Though some chocolates would be nice."

"No."

"Fine, I mean Joue!"

"What about Joue?"

"Why don't...you get her something? Ask her to the dance?" Mic hinted.

"Why would I do that?" He stared at me as if it were obvious or I was joking around. He quickly remembered I was not one to joke.

"Oh you're--you don't--oh okay. That makes a lot of sense now," Mic said. I gave him a confused expression. "Well why don't you do something nice for her because she's nice to you."

"She's a nice friend."

"Yeah! And why not give her some flowers or something? Or I will," he said, wriggling his eyebrows at me.

"Why would you do that?"

"She laughs unironically at my jokes and listens to my music. We hang out more than you think," he said. "No lady deserves to be left without a Valentine."

"Isn't that kind of played out and ridiculous. I doubt she cares," I stated. "Besides, how do you know she doesn't have one."

"She might, but she'll appreciate a nice gesture," he said. "Plus, I like the attention."

"Mmm good for you," I replied. His face fell, rolling his eyes at me overdramatically.

"Well you don't know if she does either. Better to cover your bases. Besides, even if she says she doesn't care there's still a chance she does. Deep down."

"Maybe."

"I always give little things to Midnight on Valentine's Day and holidays like that. Just like I do for you," he pointed out. My eyes shifted to his face, seeing he actually had a coherent point going. The door opened to the teacher's lounge and Mic grinned at me. I glanced round to Joue entering.

"Hi," she said, making herself comfortable in one of the staff chairs. I looked back to Mic who was getting up from his chair, spotting a couple of flowers behind his back. Why had he been trying to push me to do anything if he was going to do his own?

"Hello Miss Joue," he said, seating himself on the arm of her chair. She looked up at him from where she sat, slightly confused.

"Oh. Hello," she said again.

"You know what this weekend is?" he pestered.

"Uh...I think I have to chaperone the Valentine's danc--"

"That's right! Valentine's Day," Mic interrupted. I watched with scrutinizing eyes.

"Yeah?"

"Well, since this is my first year knowing you I thought I'd introduce you to a small tradition of mine," Mic continued. "I always do this with Midnight, but happy early Valentine's Day."

He held out the flowers to her and I watched the side of her face. Her skin warmed up as she took them gingerly from his hand. She laughed awkwardly.
