Hi this is lowkey just for me 😌
Enjoy~
Aizawa's POV
I knocked before peeking my head in Joue's office. She glanced up at me and I watched as her lips curl up in a soft smile.
"Oh, hello," she replied. It was apparent that she was feeling much better than a week ago. I knew contact with people was helpful in a lot of instances, so whatever was bothering her wasn't so much of a big deal anymore. I believed I had helped. She was also a little more comfortable around me, the initial fear of me fading. Last Friday night, exactly a week ago, she had fallen asleep curled up in my scarf. I had picked her up upon finishing my grading, and placed her next door in her own apartment, on her couch. She was rather peaceful and even when she was sleeping, she still let off a calming atmosphere.
"Hello. What are you doing for Halloween?" I asked and she paused, scrunching her mouth to one side.
"Nothing? You?" she replied. "I mean, what are you doing for Halloween, I'm not doing you--" I peered at her, confused as to what she was talking about. She just shook her head, placing a hand over her eyes, her pink cheeks still in view. "Never mind."
"You don't dress up for Halloween?" I asked, bringing her focus back and raising an eyebrow at her.
"You do?"
"Well I work with kids, so yes," I replied. It wasn't all that much of a big effort on my part, but I did dress up on Halloween if there was school that day.
"Oh...I don't really dress up for Halloween. I'm more of a Christmas person," she said, shrugging. There were a few Halloween decorations in her office to set the mood, but they were more Autumn based than anything else scary or Halloween themed. "Most of my jobs I didn't really need to. I was just going to stay home and watch a movie."
"Well the students are heading around each classroom for Trick or Treating since they're encouraged to stay here rather than go out," I explained.
"Oh, I've got a ton of candy, you can send them to my office if you want," she replied, "I've been handing it out all week."
"That's what I came for," I nodded. "Why so much candy?"
"It's better to be prepared, plus I eat way too much so," she said, gesturing to a bowl of it on her side table. The box full of me things was gone and the wall nearby was covered up.
"I need another chaperone for the class 1-A Halloween party," I added.
"I can do it. Obviously. I don't need a costume right?"
"No, but I'm sure the kids would appreciate it," I replied. "Eh...Either way, they'd like you there, at least the ones that know you."
"Right," she replied, nodding oddly.
"I'll see you tomorrow then," I replied and she smiled at me in response. I turned before hearing her call out.
"Oh, Aizawa," she said, stopping me. I glanced back at her and she gestured to the candy bowl. "Candy?"
"No thank you."
"I've got jellies," she offered again, reaching into the bowl and pulling out a small package with a few jelly candies in it.
"Thank you," I replied preemptively, watching her place it in my hand. It was strange she knew my favorite candy, but perhaps it was a coincidence.
"You're welcome," she nodded. I stopped at the doorway, peeking underneath the curtain. Everything was back in place and when I looked back to Joue, her face was flushed again. I just smiled slightly before excusing myself from her office.
