happy holidays pt.2 - chapter 7

Elizabeth's pov

I woke up on Christmas morning around 7am. I got up and brushed my hair and teeth. I walked downstairs and made coffee for everyone. I was nervous because tonight for dinner Spencer was coming over with his mom. I tried not to think about it to much but it was all I could do. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I knew everyone was awake now so I sat down in the living room and waited for them to get settled.

After presents

I got sweaters, boots, perfume, a gift card to my favorite fast food place, jeans, and 50 bucks. I got my sister a lot more than I should have and I got my mom and dad "matching" things. Soon mom began to make dinner and dad and Nicole went to go pick up drinks for everyone. I began to help mom cook so we could get the meal done faster. 

Dinner

I was now in a short (but not too short) dark red dress with black heels. My mom was in a black and red dress with black flats. Nicole was in a red sweater and a black skirt with black heels. My dad was in a button up and black pants. I had done my hair and makeup just before I heard a knock at the door. I took a deep breath and walked downstairs. I opened the door and of course it was Spencer and his mom. "Hello, come in" I said as I moved out of their way. "Mom this is Elizabeth and her family" Spencer said softly "Hi, I'm Amelia, Elizabeth's mother and this is her father Bill and her sister Nicole" My mother said softly. I smiled and reached my hand out and shook Diana's hand. She shook everyone's hand before we all sat down and began to eat. I was sitting across from Spencer and next to my mom and dad. We all ate and talked about whatever we could think about.

After dinner

Me and Spencer were cleaning up the kitchen as my mom and his mom talked. "Thank you for having us..I really appreciate it" He said as he finished up. I finished and smiled, "Of course" I said softly. Then my sister ran in with a mistletoe and hung it above mine and Spencer's head. "Kiss! You guys have tooooo" She said with a smirk. I turned bright red and looked up at Spencer.  He seemed really calm before he grabbed my hips gently and he pulled me in for a kiss. My face went red and my eyes were wide. "Elizabeth?" I heard Spencer say. I was day dreaming, there was no mistletoe, there was no kiss.

"Again thank you so much for letting us over dear" Diana said softly. "Oh no thank you" My mom said. "Thank you Elizabeth, Spencer hasn't had a friend like you for a very long time" Diana said hugging me. I hugged back and smiled. She was s tall, I knew where Spencer gets it from now. I pulled away and hugged Spencer tightly. "I'll see you when we go back to the BAU" I said softly. "Why don't you and Spencer and Nicole go and hang out in a few days and me, Diana and dad will stay here then we can order pizza" My mom suggested. Everyone agreed then Spencer and Diana left.

I was now laying in my bed thinking about how lovely Diana is and how great of a son Spencer is. My heart began to race again, so I shot up and grabbed my phone and called JJ. I felt bad since it was Christmas but I need to talk to her, and now. The phone rang and rang until she answered. "Hello? Liz? Everything okay?" She asked in a worried voice. "I'm in love with Spencer I think" I said without even thinking twice.
