Elizabeth's pov

It was thanksgiving morning. Me and the whole team had a break from work sine we had been working so much. I was spending thanksgiving by myself since I didn't have the time to fly in and see my family. I would spend Christmas with them though. I stood up and walked into my bathroom. I didn't want to bother anyone on the team, asking if I could join them. I'll just order take-out and watch a bunch of movies by myself. I started my shower and stripped down, I was about to get in until I heard my phone ring. I answered and heard Spencer's voice on the other end. "Hey Liz! What are you doing today?" He asked. "Oh, nothing really" I said softly. "O-oh same here" He said sounding a bit sad. "I'm sorry, would you like to come over?" I asked nicely. "I'd love that" He said. The phone call ended after awhile.

Spencer arriving

I had just changed into a brown skirt and a white button up with tights and black flats. I brushed my hair and teeth then did my makeup. I walked to my kitchen and looked if I had any wine. I didn't so it looked like me and Spencer would be making a trip to the store. I sighed and walked into my living room. I sat down on my couch and began to read my favorite book. I heard the doorbell ring so I shut my book and walked over to the door, I opened it and smiled softly. "Hello doctor" I said softly. "Please call me Spencer" he said with a smile as he walked in. He had a bag of food in his hand and a bottle of wine, it's like he read my mind. I smiled and made room for everything to be sat down. "I bought mashed potatoes, gravy, ham that is already made, soda, andddd some deviled eggs" He said with a wide smile. I laughed a bit and grabbed a deviled egg, I took a bite and smiled widely. "This is amazing!" I said to Spencer with a big grin.

Dinner

After me and Spencer sat the table we both sat down and began to eat. "So what are you grateful for?" Spencer asked me. "Hmmm, I would say my family and friends, also my job" I said smiling. "What are you grateful for?" I asked before taking a bite of ham. "same as you but add my PHD's" he said with a small laugh. I giggled a bit and took a sip of wine. Spencer was of course drinking water and had a soda can beside him that wasn't even opened. We began to talk about things such as family, friends and our job. Then it got more personal like relationships, dates, ideal boyfriend/girlfriend. "I bet you can't guess my perfect date" Spencer said with a smirk. "Movie night, maybe reading a few books, cookies, baking day, stuff like that" I said crossing my arms. "You...You aren't wrong" He said smiling shyly. I smiled and grabbed mine and his plate and walked to my sink and washed them off.

After dinner

Me and Spencer we're sitting down on the sofa. I was done drinking now and Spence was reading a book I recommend him back when I first joined the team. He was just now getting to it since he always has a reading list. I saw as he read through the pages, he read so fast and it was just amazing. I smiled to myself as I turned on some classy music. I got up and walked into my bedroom, I changed into black joggers and a over sized hoodie. I took my makeup off and brushed through my messy hair before going back to the living room. I walked into my living room find Spencer on the phone. "Yes mom I know. I will come visit as soon as possible. I am so so sorry, I just didn't get the time to come out to see you this year" he said with a soft sigh.
