My brothers best friend

Chapter 5: Carnival

(Hey it's me again, I just wanted to say that I thought this song would be cute to listen to while reading this chapter. You don't have to do that, only if you like to of course!!)

It was 7PM when I was getting ready for the carnival. I was so excited to see Lizzy and Lucas again. I really was missing them.

Lucas was a little older than me and Lizzy. I was friends with Lucas since the first grade, so he really meant a lot to me. He was always there for me when I needed help and it always was so much fun to hang out with him.

I looked into my closet and tried to find something good to wear. Today was a really hot day so I decided to wear a black skirt with a black crop top and some Dr. Martens boots.

I curled my hair just a little and put on some mascara, eyeliner and lipstick. 

When i went down the stairs I saw Lizzy and Lucas already waiting for me.

I screamed as I ran up to them and gave both a big hug. It just felt so good to see them, especially Lucas since we haven't seen each other in weeks. 

"Hey girl, how are you?", said Lucas holding me close to him.

"I'm great, how are you guys?", I had a big smile on my face.

"We're also good! Come on Diana let's go to the carnival!", Lizzy said while putting an arm around my shoulders.

We went out of the house and hopped into the car of Lucas. I sat in the backseat and Lizzy was in the passenger seat next to Lucas.

We opened all the windows and loud music was blasting from the speakers of the car. We were screaming the Lyrics and having a great time. 

I was feeling alive. I finally was able  to forget my worries of my live just for a moment. I felt the warm air against my skin.

When we arrived at the carnival, Lucas stopped the car and I decided that it was the right time to tell them everything that had happen yesterday.

When I was done they both were speechless. 

"Omg I don't know if I should cry or scream. Are you sure everything is okay?", Lizzy looked worried.

"Yes I promise I'm better now", I laughed to lift the mood a little.

"Omg Diana! I SHIP YOU AND ALEX SO MUCH!" she started screaming.

We all laughed.

"Calm down guys, I know he's sweet but I'm pretty sure he has a girlfriend.. besides that he keeps getting these weird phone calls...", I said looking down.

"Okay guys, let's go and have some fun now, there is no time to be sad!", Lucas opened the door and smiled.

We stepped out of the car and started walking towards the carnival. There were people everywhere and it seemed like everyone was having a great time.

"Diana do you have a picture of him?", Lizzy asked.

I thought for a moment then I remembered that Cody had posted a picture of him and Alex a few days ago. I dig out my phone from my little bag and showed them the picture. 

Both stopped to look at the picture. Lizzy and Lucas both opened their mouths.

"Omg please, where can I just find boys like this??", Lizzy said.

"I'm here", Lucas said joking and Lizzy hit his arm.

"I have to be honest, he is pretty hot", Lucas was nodding his head.
