It's almost there!

Just a little longer!

IT'S A BOY!

The crowded hospital room all cheered as the baby arrived and took its first breath in this world, which it used promptly to cry. The room was livid as the doctor and nurses hurried about, getting this or that for the Baby and the new Mother.

The new Father, a man with messy dark black hair stepped into the room to see with his own eyes the being that was his son. He walked to the bed in which his wife was in. They both looked at the child, their child. Slight concern appeared on both their faces as they asked one of the scurrying nurses a question about the child. The nurse stopped and looked at the child and then to the parents and back again to the baby. She then asked a question, one that both of the parents knew definitively to be no

"You both don't have a quirk?"

Quirks, abilities society has been built upon. Ever since a child that could radiate light was born in Ching Ching city, more and more quirks appeared and dreams became reality with more than eighty percent of the world having quirks. The world became a superhuman society with heroes all around and desperately needed, because not everyone born with a quirk would use it for good.

The hospital room was quiet now. The only people really in there were the newly ordained parents. The bustling nurses and doctors had left, only being a buzzer beep away. The parents preferred it this way, as they just wanted to be with their child.

"Azuki huh, that was a last moment change, not that I minded of course, I think it's a befitting name" said the Father as he gently rubbed his child's head.

The Mother rolled her eyes. "As long as you don't go trying to claim the credit dear" softly laughed the Mother.

The Father chuckled to himself, knowing all to well that it was something he would do. They both sat there silent for a moment before the Mother asked in a concerned voice "Do you think he will be alright".

The Father replied quietly "Of course I think so, the doctor said he's a perfectly healthy baby wi-" the Mother gently cut him off, "You know what I'm talking about, I'm talking about his quirk" she said, her voice not only filled with concern but with a tinge of pain.

The Father sighed. He knew it was the question on both of their minds but neither of them wanted to talk about it.

"Yes I think he will be good. I mean I'm still convinced my quirk is looking amazing so there's a high chance that's what his is too" said the father jokingly, trying to raise his spouses spirit. It didn't seem to help, her beautiful eyes started welling with tears.

She looked at her husband and said with sadness and pain throughout her voice "What if he isn't though, what if he is born with a terrible quirk, one that will make society look on him with disgust, what if no one ever accepts him just because the way he is born". The Mother was now gently crying, tears streaming down her face as she slightly shook.

The Father sighed, a deep sad breath, filled with worrisome and troubled thoughts. He leaned over and hugged his beloved, and kissed on her forehead and held her tight. And ever so softly he said in her ear "That's where your wrong, we will always care for him and love and cherish him even if the world does not. And the family we grow and raise will do the same".

The Mother nodded, using her free hand to wipe the tears from her eyes. "Your right" she said, her voice still shaky "We will always be here for him".

They both sat in silence, pondering and thinking about the future of their son. The baby was still asleep, still almost motionless. The point of concern, the part that made the parents worried, was the slight maroon aura surrounding Azuki. He was in fact a healthy healthy baby, but this aura almost all but confirmed he had a quirk, one that would not manifest for a few years.

Days passed, and the parents and their new child Azuki went to check out of the hospital, for it was time to go to their home, and raise their child to the best of their abilities.

Before they left, they spoke to the Doctor that helped them with the birth. "When will we know his quirk?" inquired the Mother, with some worry still in her voice. The Father put a hand on her shoulder, he also being very worried.

"Most quirks usually manifest around the age of four, some quirks, like quirks that change appearances usually appear at birth so you need not worry as much" said the Doctor. He knew full well the stress and worry these two were going through, he had seen it many many times.

The Mother nodded her head up and down, causing her blond messy bun to go up and down. The old balding man adjusted his glasses and sighed. "Truth is I don't know if Azuki here will be born with a quirk that will help or hinder him, it will be up to how you and Azuki handle and deal with this quirk. However, if you have questions or concerns you can always call us, we will help you anyway we can."

The parents both nodded, determination now written on their faces, to raise their son to the best of their abilities. The Father shook the doctors hand, grateful for his help and the couple left the hospital.

Time passed, and Azuki grew older, he could walk and babble words that no one understood. His eyes were Maroon, very different from his fathers brown and his mothers green. The hair that had come in was also Maroon, very unlike his mother's blond and his fathers black. His parents were happy and Azuki was happy. The Maroon aura around Azuki was still there, but his parents loved and cherished him nonetheless. Azuki was their everything, and before too long the moment came in which his quirk would be activated, changing the life of his parents and his forever.
