The next several months went by fast for the Sheishin family. Azuki worked hard on school to learn as much as possible, he and his mother also looked online to figure what hobbies would interest him. Playing some sort of musical instrument definitely interested him the most, but maybe cooking or reading would also be interesting. Azuki's father would come no longer tired anymore, but ecstatic. He showed Azuki a sketch of what was to come and Azuki couldn't help but be in awe.

Azuki's father would work on it during his free hours at his work, sometimes he would even stay late to work on it. Azuki's father had always been passionate about building things and this was no exception. Not only was this helping Azuki, but it was also helping show his father's bosses that he knew what he doing and that he was mechanically adept. They gave him a raise which surprised Azuki's father, making Azuki's parents jump around screaming excitedly, even Doctor Gu was skipping around. Doctor Gu was involved as much as possible. Although Gu knew the pieces and components that would help Azuki's father, he did not know how to put them together, so he helped just by finding pieces or good deals on components which was more than enough to help. The year got closer to being over and before Azuki realized it, it was November Tenth, which made Azuki eleven. His family celebrated by throwing him a party which the only guest invited was Doctor Gu, who took time off to make it. They still made a cake for him like they had for his other ten birthday's, but like the others since his quirk activated, his parents saved his cake in case one day he would be able to eat them. It was something Azuki hoped he would one day be able to try.

Life seemed to crawl for Azuki, everyday it got closer and closer to his new body being finished, and it couldn't be going by slower. His days seemed to have slowed to a crawl, like his quirk was actually slowing time itself. School didn't help, his mom was more determined then ever to make sure he would get all the necessary schooling to get whatever job he wanted. Long division was the least of his worries as he was bombarded with everything from advanced reading to solving Algebraic equations. Worst thing is, not even his newly earned two hours of watching hero's could keep him focused. It was all he could think about, and slowly everything around him started losing his importance to him. The days got slower and slower, time seemed to get on its knees and crawl until...

Until the day arrived

The Sheishin's household was quiet. Azuki's mom stood at the front of the kitchen waiting for Azuki's response to the math question she had asked, but his mind was elsewhere. About a week prior his father had told him it was almost complete, that all of his waiting would be over. So Azuki sat there, waiting, much to his mothers dismay. "Come on Azuki, this stuff is important, you'll need it for whenever your father completes the project and you can pursue things in life" she stated, tapping the image the old dingy projector was displaying against the wall.
Azuki nodded, not paying attention to his mother but looking out the window at the descending sun. It was almost night, and his father still wasn't home. Maybe today wasn't the day after all. Azuki reached his hand towards the fading rays of the sun. Will I be able to feel your warmth again? To walk in your light?
