Ashley's POV
I was running. Running away from my house. Away from my family. Away from my room. Away from my life. I decided to change my name. I know the guards will find me eventually, but I can't have my parents coming after me. If they do come to town and ask for Ashley Dollie they won't find anyone by that name. For my first name I'm going as my middle name Avery and for my last name I'm going to use my best friends last name, Barnes. My new name is Avery Barnes.
I walked for a while until I came upon a small village. The people looked nice enough. I walked to an inn and talked to the villager who was at the front desk.
"Hi my name is Ash- I mean Avery Barnes and I was wondering if you have a room I can rent?"
"Of course Hun we have the top floor room 245 or the middle floor room 187. Which would you like?" She asked me.
I have never been a fan of heights so I decided I'm going to take the middle floor.
"I'll take the middle floor" I said.
"Ok," she answered and fished a key out of a drawer, "Here is your key to your room, once again it's room 187, and you can pay on your last day here."
"Ok thanks you!" I said and walked up to my room.
After unpacking I decided to go look around this village. It was one of the nicest villages I have ever been it. Everyone there looked like a normal villager except.... except for this one guy. He was quite cute and looked like me, a human, not a villager. I decided to say hi.
"Hey my name is Avery and I'm going to be staying here for a while I just wanted to introduce myself." I said.
He looked up and smiled. Blue eyes. Perfect white teeth. Perfect blond hair. He was the perfect boy!
"Hi, I'm Jonah!" He said smiling, which may I add made me melt inside, "So what brings you around here Avery?" He asked me.
"Oh well you know....." I hadn't thought this plan through yet, "I um.. well my family is um having a fight and to make sure I'm safe if it gets violent they sent me to live here with my aunt." I responded. Well I guess that excuse will work for now.
"Oh, then why are you staying at the inn?" He asked.
Maybe it wasn't such a good excuse idea. But then I thought, how does he know I was at the inn I never told him.
"How did you know I was at the inn?" I asked him.
"Oh, umm......" he looked worried as if he just did something he wasn't suppose to do, "I....umm.. I saw you walk out and just guessed.?"
It sounded like more of a question than a statement, but I let it go.
"Oh ok well do you want to hang out?" I asked.
He looked almost relived I dropped the subject.
"Sure. I would love to, where do you want to go?" He asked.
"Um.. how about we go to that park over there?" I said pointing to a beautiful park out in the distance.
"That sounds wonderful." He said and grabbed my hand. The butterflies were back. We just met and he was already holding my hand.
We spent the rest of the day goofing off, messing around, and having fun for the rest of the day. Then at the end when he walks me back to the inn and he kisses me. After he kissed me, on the lips may I add, he said,"This was a wonderful day Avery, and we can do it again tomorrow if you would like!" He sounded excited.
I smiled and responded,
"Of course I would! Well goodnight!"
"Goodnight love!!" He called back. He called me love! This was the best day I have had in a very long time. I think I'm in love. And in the fun-ness of today I almost forgot about what my future holds........... Almost.
