Ok so I just realized you guys are probably wondering what Avery's mom, Lucy, meant earlier in the book when she said Herobrine promised to leave them alone soooo I'm going to show you in this chapter, let's get started!

Just so you know this is going to be just after Lucy found the note, so Avery is still Ashley, and she hasn't met Jonah or Sarah yet.

Lucy's POV

When I finally woke up the note was still in my hand. I had wasted enough time being passed out.
"Bloody murder...." I mumbled under my breath, "DAVID! DAVID! COME HERE QUICKLY!" I screamed, yelling for my husband.
David ran into Ashley's room as fast as he could, "What's wrong Lucy? Is everything ok?"
"H-he pro-promised." I stuttered, looking out to the distance.
"Who promised? What happened?" David said walking over. I handed him the note and he read it.
I broke down crying, "Af-after Benson he-he pro-promised w-we wou-would nev-never ha-have t-to wor-worry about h-him ag-again."
Benson, our first born child. He was 15, when it happened. I guess I should tell you. Benson was here before Ashley was even thought about. He was a funny, cunning, smart, and brave boy. Benson had friends that didn't make very good choices. David and I both did not approve of them, but Benson wanted to fit in, and he ignored all warning not to hang out with them. One day he said he was going out, that day was the last day we ever saw Benson again. The boys he hung out with lead him to the Nether. It had all been a trap. We later found out that the boys were guards for Herobrine. We knew all about them. We found out that they were guards from a dream. Herobrine... he took everything. We ventured into the Nether to confront him, knowing we may not make it back alive. When we did confront him, Herobrine just laughed and said that his guards will do things for a reason. I don't know why he did it, but Herobrine promised that he would leave us alone and we would never have to worry about him again, as long as we didn't say a word about him or his guards to anyone. Not a soul. Then he summoned his guards to 'escort' us back to the overworld. We tried to ask about Benson again, but we were already being dragged out by the guards. To this day we never knew why the guards took Benson, and we don't know what happened to Benson either. We fear the worst. It took a while but we finally recovered from Benson, and then decided to have another child. That child was Ashley. We never told her about her brother, and we told her that Herobrine and his guards were a myth. As for everyone who knew Benson, we told them we had had a fight and he disappeared. Eventually everyone forgot about Benson and no one ever mentioned a word about him to Ashley.

Thinking about Benson and now Ashley made me cry even more. David hugged me trying to comfort me but I could tell he had a lot of mixed feelings about what's going on, "I know. We could call in N-"
"Notch, I know." I finished for him, "We need to call in Notch."
David nodded, "Do you think we can even get into see Notch?" He asked, "If we do, when we mention Herobrine and his guards, what if Herobrine decides to hurt Ashley because we talked about him and his guards?"
"We have to try. Him and his guards are going to kill her even if we didn't go. If we do go we may have a chance to save her. David I can't go through this again. We don't have a choice." I said looking up at him with tears in my eyes.
He sighed, "You're right Lucy. We need to try."

Well there is your answer. I bet you readers were wondering about Lucy and David. And now they know about Benson.
It was kind of dark.
Want a teaser about later in the story? I didn't tell you about Benson for no reason.
