Wilbur POV

"Will?"

I turn to see Tubbo and Tommy.

"Yes boys?"

"Do you remember our parents?"

I am surprised by the sudden words.

Do I remember their parents?

I clear my throat, "Yes," I lie.

"What were my parents like?" Tommy asks.

I stand there silent for a bit, thinking of a way to tell him about his parents, "Your parents were really nice, Tommy."

His face lights up, "Really?"

"Y-yep! They also had the same amount of confidence as you!"

"Me next! Me next!" Tubbo says.

The two boys looked at each other with happiness in their eyes. I feel so bad lying to them. They can't know the truth, at least not yet.

"Let's keep searching for sheep," I say and walk ahead of them.

We walk into the clearing where the rest of the group is. I spot Y/N and Schlatt talking to each other, then Schlatt walks towards me.

"You wanted to talk to me?" Schlatt asks.

"Uh...yeah! I did!" I say remembering what Y/N told me, "Boys, find something to do while I talk to Schlatt."

"Yes Sir!" They say at the same time and then walk away.

"Let's find somewhere private," I say and watch Schlatt's face become confused.

I walk into the forest with him following behind me. We stop in a small clearing.

"What did you need?"

I breathe in, "Schlatt, do you remember me at all?"

He looks confused, "What do you mean?"

"Don't you remember all the challenges we did together! The water rising? Lava rising?" I ask.

His face tells me that he doesn't remember.

"You don't remember do you?" I ask and I look to the ground.

He shakes his head. He either is joking around or actually forgot. If it is a joke, it's not that funny. Schlatt's face tells me he is confused and concerned.

"You at least remember going over the Bad Men's Anatomy with my friends?"

He shakes his head. My face feels hot and my eyes feel weird. One of my friends doesn't remember me. We had so many great memories together.

"Forget it," I say and turn around feeling my eyes tear up, "Just come back to L'manberg and don't speak about this conversation."

I walk ahead of him leading him back to the path before running towards L'manberg. The group is up ahead but I push past them. My name is being shouted but of course, I ignore. I ran through the half-opened gate and to the caravan. I sit on the floor. Why am I getting so emotional? I haven't seen him in a long time. Is it because he doesn't even remember the challenges? It doesn't make any sense.

Y/N POV

We were just walking down the path and then Will pushed past us. Why is he running? I knew something was wrong when Schlatt came running up to us with a worried face.

"He just ran off after we talked," Schlatt explains.

"What did you talk about?" Fundy asks.

"He told me not to tell," he says.

"I'll go after him," I say and run off.

The gate is still open meaning he didn't close it. I just have to find him. Mainly when he gets into his Sad Boy Mode he runs to the caravan or into his room. The caravan is closer so I will check there first. As I walk up the stairs to get into the caravan I hear a voice.

"Is he alright?"

I turn to see Schlatt.

"I haven't checked on him yet," I reply,"Want to come with me?"

He shakes his head, "He's acting this way because of me. I don't know why but he is."

"I'll make sure he's all right then," I say and open the door quietly,"Will? Are you here?"

"Go away Y/N," Wilbur says.

"I'm not going away until you tell me what's wrong?" I fully walk in and see him curled up in the corner.

"Then stay here," he looks away from me,"I'm not telling."

"Fine," I sit by him and he looks at me,"We'll sit here forever."

He sniffles a bit and it draws my attention.

"Are you crying?"

"No," He says quickly.

"I know you are crying Will, you're sniffling and you ran past the group in a rush."

He curls up more,"If I tell you what happened will you not tell anyone?"

I nod,"Of course Will, how bad can it be?"

He sits up a bit so I can see his face, "I asked him if he remembered me."

"So, did it go okay?"

"What do you think?" he asks with noticeable sarcasm.

"I mean what did he say?"

He looks at his hands, "He didn't remember anything."

"How?" I ask, "How can he just forget you?"

"Exactly! He either is playing some sick joke or actually lost his memory," Will says with his voice raising.

I wrap my arm around him, "It's going to be okay Will, he might just have a hard time remembering things."

"He didn't even remember the challenges!" a noticeable tear falls down his face, "He told me after those challenges that he will never forget those days. I guess he lied."

I didn't know how to react. How did he become such good friends with him behind my back and never say a word about him?

He wipes his face and starts standing up, "The others are probably back by now. I should make myself presentable."

"Will, you go get some rest, you are still showing pain in that shoulder and you just cried."

"But the boys?"

"I'll handle them, I have a story made up."

"Thank you Y/N. You always have my back."
