The smell of antiseptics filled her nose as she regained consciousness. She felt aches all over her body and her head felt almost dull and empty as she couldn't recollect how she got into where she is.

"Where am I?" She mumbled, trying to get up with a weak feeling of being able to control her own body. She stayed on the bed after a few struggles, trying to think of anything that could help her remember anything.

She moved her head slowly, examining the room she was in. It looked like most hospital rooms did, although she didn't know why she knew how hospital rooms usually looked. Was she a regular patient? Was memory loss something she has had forever but just keeps forgetting? She went through many things in her head but didn't get attached to any of those ideas.

She looked on a table near her, there was a silver heart pendant with a broken clasp, she felt she really needed it and mustered all of her strength to reach for it, feeling a huge anxiety fill her up as she was without it.

She stared at the pendant, not knowing what to do with it now that she has it in her hands. It felt like this necklace connected her to something, but why does she not remember it.

A knock snapped her out of her thoughts as she stared blankly at the door which opened and a nurse came in, when she saw the small girl awake, she was a bit surprised, and then called for someone outside, then she went towards the girl, "Hello, how are you feeling?"

"...." The girl stared at the nurse blankly, "I don't know..."

"What are your parents names?"

"...I don't know," she answered slowly.

"..Do you have any guardian?"

"I don't know," She kept answering.

"Do you remember anyone?"

The girl shook her head in response, "Why don't I remember?"

"Well, it seems your head injury was more traumatic for you, so you have amnesia," the nurse said.

"Amnesia?"

"It means you can't remember anything, but its okay, we'll help you find your parents," the nurse tried to comfort the child who seemed to feel anxious.

"...There was something important..." She really wanted to remember.

Another person came in after a knock, this person was a doctor, "The patient is awake?"

The doctor and nurse started talking about her as she stared blankly at them. She then looked at the pendant and realized it was some type of heart pendant locket, something that opens. She felt anxious, but opened it, hoping to find something to help her remember.

On one side, there was an engraving with the name, 'Loralei' that was in cursive. And on the other side, there was a small picture of three people that she couldn't recognize. A tall blonde man with some sort of weird makeup, brown-ish red eyes, pink hearts long sleeved shirt with a black fur coat holding two children, one with a black spotted pattern, black hair, yellow eyes, and white marks around his face, he was wearing a yellow hoodie. The other child the blonde man was holding was also blonde, she had light blue eyes, and she was wearing a white dress filled with blue ruffles.

Even with their descriptions, she couldn't remember them, she felt a connection between them, but she couldn't remember it.

"Miss? Is that something you can remember? When Lady Myrtle found you, she saw you holding tightly onto the necklace, which was why she kept it near your side," The doctor said.
