Chapter 16 + Announcement

He watched, a bit amused, he didn't expect the Straw Hat to be the son of the Dragon nor did he expect Fire Fist to be related to the King of the Pirates. It was honestly amusing to him, and he knew this event itself would shake the world.

A yell dragged his eyes off of the battlefield and to the roof of a building, Shock filled his eyes, the tiny figure of a blonde girl started running on the roof.

"What's she doing on the roof?!" He shouted suddenly, making his crew mates surprised.

A gasp let out when she started falling off the roof, missing a jump? Why didn't she jump? He looked at the distance of how far he was to where she was, knowing her wouldn't make it.

So he didn't even try.

His eyes widen in shock when he saw her body flew in an entirely different direction. His eyes followed her body until she lied in the arms of Doflamingo.

Loralei POV.

I'm kinda fucked right now huh? How do I escape from this tall monster without making him mad?

"It has been a while, has it not?"

Okay, if I act stupid, will he believe me? I mean, as long as I act crazy and stupid, he might let me go. He's always been one to play with people and their feelings, so I could try doing the same thing.

"Yeah, how many years has it been Doffy? Is Ba-big sis doing alright?" I internally smacked myself for messing up on the line.

I could see an eyebrow of his raise momentarily, although his smile did not falter.

"Yes, she- we missed you and Law very much," he corrected himself in the midst of his line, making me want to sigh. I thought he was good at this, but it seems, he was going with the flow, like how I had done usually.

"I miss everyone too!" my smile faltered and I consciously averted my eyes, "I miss Law more though," I said.

"Is that so?"

He needs Law, and he wants my power, it'll be good for him if I go along with what he says.

"Yeah, I heard he's a supernova pirate now, but I couldn't find him before, it's boring without Law!"

"You haven't grown a bit, huh Loralei?"

Yeah, sure, I haven't.

I pouted. looking away angrily, "I have grown! For one, I'm super strong now, I know Haki, a little, and my curses are super strong as well, also also, I'm taller now!"

"Fufufufufu, you are quite willfull, you're in the marines right?"

He stared at my clothing, which was the typical marine outfit, although I was wearing skirt instead of pants. I also had black stockings on.

"Yeah, but I got locked up by Sengoku-san for trying to betray him-" I made an offended gasp, "Also, he spied on me! I know I'm a former pirate, but he spied on a girl's privacy, that's how he found out!"

"Didn't you do that as a child? Using your...dolls to spy on others?"

"It's different, Nora and Noro just happened to find info and tell me cause I'm their best friend," I said, acting like a willful child.

"I see, you like Law right? Why don't you go find and hang out with him? And call us once in a while?"

I see, so you basically want me to find Law, spy on him and give you info about him.

How direct.

"Oh, maybe I can ask him to come back and we can all hang out again, I wanna play with Baby 5 and Buffalo again!"

"Yes, that's a fantastic idea," he finally set me down, his smile, not fading, "I have some work to do, so why don't you go do what you have been doing?"

Not having a bad relationship with this man is for my benefit, I know Law probably wants revenge, that's the type of person he is, but we are too weak to be opposing this monster as of now.

"Alright then!"

The battlefield was quite a sight to see, marines and pirates alike falling in the midst of the battle, fire, gunshot, smoke, it dawned on me that this is a war.

Even so, I couldn't seem to feel anything towards that, guilt, anger, happiness, I felt nothing towards the blood soaked sight. It was as if I had no feelings towards anything but my goal.

Why was that?

Am I that much of a monster that I can't shred a feeling of sorrow for those who fell?

I knew I wasn't ever fit to be a marine, Sengoku may have cherished our talks about Cora-san, but that doesn't mean I'll become a good person like Cora-san. I mean, I don't even hate bread! I only say I hate bread because Law and Cora-san hates it.

Announcement

SOOOOO- I was M.I.A for a while cause I wanted to focus on my classes for a while, since School has ended, I'll be looking back on this story and trying to finish it- but I noticed many plotholes I ain't gone plug up, and I'll be doing my best to remember how to finish this story cause I know how the other one will end but not this one lmao.
