Chapter 12 - Blow Up

Loralei's point of view

It has been 3 days since we started sailing...and all I can say is..

"YOU EAT WAY TOO MUCH KIMIKO!"

She looked away awkwardly as I was glaring at her, I had her tell me what kind of eating habits she had, but its much different when she is actually eating up the food supplies. Sure we were almost about to reach the naval base, but she had already eaten almost half of the food supplies.

I sighed, how in the world does she survive these situations?

"It's just..I mean, food is great you know?"

"And what are you going to do when your next island is weeks ahead and you don't have enough food because you keep eating it all?"

Kimiko wouldn't make eye contact with me at all, "I'll plan?"

"You-"

"Look, we are near the naval base!"

She ignored me and pointed at the naval base behind me. It was beyond a peaceful looking village that I was already apologizing for because we were going to be basically destroying their source of protection for a while.

"Its small," Were we going to get enough attention with just this?

"Don't worry, I'm here," Kimiko said proudly.

What does you being here make a difference?

"I'm an already famous pirate, me destroying a navy base with someone, will definitely catch some attention, especially since the newspaper has been peaceful for a few days, big news always surprises people," She said.

It made sense in some perspective, if a famous person gave attention to something, it'll get popular. Dang, sometimes she is pretty cool.

"I could hear you internally insulting me just now," Kimiko glared at me.

I laughed her off, Kimiko sighed and went to grab her bag and a katana. I still need to get a proper katana as well, but for now, I'll stick to swords and guns, or just hand combat, I'm not particularly amazing at any of them, unlike Diamante and the rest. I always had a worse stamina as well, since I was sheltered mostly back then, plus I haven't been practicing for some time now. I could only defeat those pirates using my devil fruit and because those pirates were close together, its probably going to be much harder if these navy were spread apart.

"Loralei?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you ready?"

It doesn't matter how spread apart they are, they are just stepping stones to me reuniting with Corazon and Law. They aren't related to me in any way so I don't really need a reason to stop myself from destroying this navy base. Plus I don't have to actually destroy the town or anything so it'll be fine.

"Let's leave the ship somewhere a bit more inconspicuous," Kimiko says, using a telescope to look out the area.

"Alright."

Third Point of View

It was a peaceful day in Karasu Village, people were happily walking the streets, people were frolicking around without a sense of danger at all. The villagers lived near a naval base after all, if anything were to happen, they would be protected.

But who would protect the naval base when they were attacked by two crazy teens?

There were a few explosions and gunshots that could be heard, and then the sound of people screaming could be heard.
