Maddi stared at her parents one last time, before she walked out the door. She was done, just done with all of their rules, their lies, everything with them. She couldn't take it anymore, she had to get out. They didn't realize they were suffocating her, drowing her until she couldn't breathe. Not that they'd actually care. She walked outside, suitcase in hand, and drove away. She had a plan, and she wasn't turning back now.

Chase glanced behind her, then started writing. She wrote and wrote and wrote until her hands cramped. She explained everything to her parents, why she left, where she was going, and why she hated that house. Her sister was the reason, not that Violet would care though. If anything, she'd be happy that Chase feels so small compared to her. Chase looked around her room for that last time, and ran outside, where they were waiting.

Katie looked at the picture, and felt a tear run down her face. The she crumpled it up and threw it in the trash. She couldn't take it anymore, this stupid town was full of memories of them. Of him. She grabbed her bags and took one last look outside her window. That backyard held so many memories of them together, so many happy times. She shook her head and walked out, into the car that set idling on the curb.
