I'm walking around on the gala. The two Destiny's are on the Waverider. The older one because I succeeded in grounding her and the younger one since she's too young to be here.
I don't see anything interresting, really. Not until Helen shows up. I have to admit she's hot, but I don't understand how they could fight a war over her.
And how all the men in the room seem ready to do so right now, much to their wife's and girlfriends' irritation.
Even my brother is hypnotized by her. He gracefully offers her a sandwich, which she refuses. I do my best to hold in my laughter at the hurt expression on his face.
"Aww, she hurt your feelings." I taunt him over the comms.
He growls in return, but doesn't snap back to reality.
"Ray? Nate? Rory?" Sara asks over the comms.
"Holy Helen of Troy." Haircut mumbles at the sight of her.
"Yeah. That spells hot." Nate replies.
I go towards Sara and Zari, while Sara's voice is heard over the comms. "Guys, snap out of it. We got a job to do."
"Hey, check out our security detail." Zari says to me and Sara. "The woman's a prisoner."
"Not for long." Sara replies. "We just need to get her alone."
I turn to Zari. "Z?"
She gets the hint and uses her air totem to spill Helen's drink all over her clothes. Sara tapps on her comm. "Ray, suit up and meet us at the balcony for extraction."
She motions for Zari to come with her, while turning to me. "Make sure we're not followed."
I nod and watch them as they leave. I keep my eyes on the way they went, doing as she told me. Until I hear her again over the comms. "Everybody, get ready to move. We gotta go fast."
I follow Zari and Sara with my eyes, until they come to a stop before Damien Darhk. I instantly move to join them, taking my knife with me.
About to kill him, I'm stopped by a movement of his fingers. I can't even move anymore, just listen. Sara, who is having the same problem, asks: "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Aside from collecting my 15%?" He asks.
Sara scoffs. "You're her agent?"
"You know that I have the killer instinct that this job requires."
I frown. "When did you become funny?"
"Death does strange things to people." He replies. Then he takes the knifes from me and Sara. "I didn't come here to fight. I came to talk. And I didn't come alone."
I realise I can move again, so I take a better look around. I see the waterwitch and 'Madame Eleanor'.
He turns to Sara. "If you don't take me up on my offer for parlay, things could get ugly for you, your team, and Hollywood's elite."
"All right." She says. "Everybody stand down. Darhk and I have some catching up to do."
"Thank you." He whispers in return.
I don't like this one bit, but I let her go anyway. I'm starting to think I'm the worst girlfriend in all of time...
Those thoughts are immedietly somewhere in the back of my mind, when I see this girl looking at me. She's trying to be subtle, but failing miserably.
I frown and walk up to her. "Can I help you?"
She titles her head a little. "You're exactly how she described you. Although she left out how hot you are."
