Chapter 23

"First burn.."

(this is going to be a female reader but I will make more they/them stories along with male )

Y/n sat there near the fireplace as tears stained her face , she held the letters that Wilbur had given her but it wasn't happiness or love she was feeling . Y/n felt betrayed , angry , sad , and lonely . Tears continued to fall as she threw the first letter into the fireplace , Wilbur came running into the room as soon as he noticed that his wife wasn't next to him in bed . Y/n quickly turned around to see Wilbur there with a confused face...

"Y/n what are you doing dear-"

"Nothing Will.."

Wilbur looked over her shoulder to see the letters he had given her when he felt like a love sick puppy when they first met , Y/n on the other hand was gripping onto the paper in anger ....

"I saved every letter you wrote me ...from the moment I saw you I knew you were mine ..."

Y/n paused and turned her attention back to the fireplace ...

"I thought you were mine ..."

Wilbur walked closer but ...

"Do you know what Niki (Anglica ) said ...when I told her what you'd done ? she said ...

You married an Icarus . He's flown too close to the sun..."

As Y/n got up Wilbur had tried to reach for her but she quickly snacthed her hand away from his ...

"Don't take another step in my direction ..I can't be trusted around you."

Wilbur started to feel regret in the pit of his stomach but as he opened his mouth ..

"Don't think you can talk your way into my arms, into my arms .."

Y/n walked over back to the fireplace and held the letters close to it , Wilbur tried reaching for them but she snatched them back and placed them towards the fire ...

"I'm burning the letters you wrote me . You can stand over there if you want ...I don't know who you are ...I have so much to learn . I'm rereading your letters and watching them burn..."

Y/n then tossed one of those letters into the fire which caused Wilbur's heart to ache ...but she didn't care because he broke her heart anyways .

"I'm watching them burn..."

Y/n then gripped onto the last letters as she remembered ...

"You published the letters she wrote you. You told the whole world how you brought this girl into our bed . In clearing your name , you've ruined our lives..."

Tears started to fall from Wilbur's eyes as he noticed how heart broken his wife was...

"Heaven forbid someone whispers ! "He's part of scheme ."

Y/n started to get more angrier ....

"Your enemy whispers so you have to scream ! I know about the whispers ...I seen how you look at my sister ,,,(sally the fish..) "

Y/n's heart started to ache as she noticed that Wilbur tried to grab her hand again...

"Don't ...I'm not naive ...I have seen women around you . Don't think I don't see how they fall for your charms ...all of your charms .."

Y/n then held up her book...

"I'm erasing myself from the narrative . Let future historians wonder how Y/n (Eliza) reacted when you broke her heart .You've thrown it all the way, stand back, watch it burn. Just watch it all burn.."

Y/n threw all his letters including her book into the fire but as she looked at Wilbur she noticed her son at the door way , she saw how his little fox ears fell to the side of his head and this made her heart ache even more ...

"And when the time comes ..explain to the children . The pain and embarrassment ..you put their mother through . When will you learn that they are your legacy . WE ARE YOU LEGACY !"

Fundy watched as his father tried getting close to his mother ..

"If you thought you were mine.."

Wilbur finally got close to Y/n but instead of hugging her ..he had gotten a slap to the face ..

"Don't ..."

Y/n and Fundy sat there under their favorite tree ...

"Mom..."

Y/n let out a small hum in response ..

"Ummm..."

Y/n already knew the question and she quickly pulled Fundy onto her lap ..

"I don't like ...sally ..."

Y/n let out a small chuckle as she held her son closer ..

" I know but your father is happy ..."

"She's not even a fox ...she's a fish..."

Y/n sighed and let a small laugh out ....

Y/n stood there on her pirate ship and she held her sister by her tail , she laughed as she swung her mermaid sister around but she was laughing because of her sister's screams .

"Oh this is what happens dear sister .."

She smirked as she finally dropped her sister into the water after being out of it for too long , the last of her sisters air bubbles can be seen bubbling out of the water . Y/n smirked but she soon looked over to see Wilbur holding their son in his arms , Wilbur seemed afraid of Y/n now but she didn't care she was ...getting corrupted by something or someone ...

George stood there with Y/n in his arms , they swayed to the song that played in the background ... Y/n looked up at George and smiled lighty . George spun Y/n around but as they danced a crack of a tree branch can be heard , they both snapped their attention over to the noise only to see Wilbur and a young Fundy by his side .

"Y/n..."

"Wilbur ...if you are here to apologize there is no need because we both moved on and it's all good ..."

Fundy clung onto his father but once his mother looked at him with sadness but a little giggle can be heard .

"Mommy look what uncle Dream made me ."

Y/n crouched down to her child's level only to notice a small plushie , Y/n smiled lightly but Wilbur on the other hand was heartbroken ...because he had just realized what Y/n meant by children ...

That was his (son , daughter ...etc..)...
