Riley's POV:
Arriving at the airport for Internationals feels amazing! We've been waiting for so long to get here and now we're finally here! This is what we've been waiting for since Qualifying for Regionals and it feels so unreal. What makes it even better is that I get to come here knowing that James is my boyfriend and I couldn't be happier. Obviously, I don't think anyone apart from Cierra and Ella knows, but they both decided on keeping quiet. Ella was a bit apprehensive but she finally gave in after realizing that me being pregnant was even more 'juicier'. Despite me now having to be an alternate, I'm happy because at least my baby's is okay. However, that does mean that James and I won't get to do the tie-breaker duet anymore, and instead, Thalia and Eldon are since they already have one prepared.
As we wait by the gate, hanging around with our suitcases, James came over and walks towards me with a pack of doughnuts in hand. I smirk at him as he takes one out and eats it.
"You seriously went to get doughnuts right now?" I say, rolling my eyes.
"Yeah, you want one?" he asks me, moving it around my nose so that I take in the smell. Giving in, I decide on taking the strawberry glazed one whilst he continues to go around asking everyone else. Most people declined his offer and so he was left with four when there had originally been eight. He approaches me once again and then when he does, I put the doughnut I had taken back to fit in its packaging.
"What's the matter, you feeling okay?" he asks me genuinely. I smile and nod.
"Yeah, I just don't think I can digest it all cause of..." I gesture towards my stomach and then he nods. Something tells me he wanted to kiss me right there and then as he glances down at my lips but we both know we can't with everyone around.
"Here, take a tissue," he says, taking one out of his jeans pocket. I thankfully take it out of his hand before wiping the sugar off of the corners of my mouth.
"You know something?" I speak up as I take a seat just like the rest of the girls were. West and Eldon were sat on their suitcases but then it causes Eldon to fall backwards. James chuckles before paying attention to me again and then sitting on the left-hand side of me.
"What is it, Ri?"
"Even though I'm doing this for the best... I feel really bad that we won't get to perform our duet," I say. He shakes his head.
"You shouldn't. I know that what we choreographed is really good and I'm really proud of it, but Thalia and Eldon's is good too. Besides, it's what's best for..." he pauses as he lowers his voice. "Our baby." I smile, placing my hand firmly on my stomach as I run it over the top of my petite and not-yet visible bump.
Emily's POV:
As I was stood by the row of seats with all of the girls, I couldn't help but steal glances over to my sister and James. I can't believe what Michelle told me and there's no way that it's true. Riley and James have always been close and they're practically best friends so I don't know why she would say he's the father.
Obviously, I can't quite perform on stage yet but my mother paid for me to get a flight and support the team, mainly because she wants someone to keep an eye on Riley during her pregnancy.
I watched as they both started laughing together and he started making jokes about her baby bump but that was all. There's nothing that gives away they're a couple and therefore I don't believe Michelle's accusations for a minute. Even if me and her were together, I wouldn't believe her. I just can't comprehend that ever being a reality.
James's POV:
As we begin to board the plane, I had something planned for Riley and I that she didn't yet know about. The rest of A-Troupe begin to fill up the rows but just as Riley's about to take a seat in the last row, I grab her hand and pull her back.
"What? James, this is where we're sitting," she resists. I shake my head at her.
"Come with me," I say quietly. Since Kate already knew about us, she didn't appear to ask any questions but everyone else, except from Cierra of course, did. We choose to ignore them though as we walk with our luggage further down the plane towards the back where we were out of sight and earshot with the rest of the team.
"What? Why are we sitting here?" she asks as I pull her away. I lift up my suitcase and fix it inside the cabin before doing the same with Riley's purple metallic one.
"Do you want us to be alone or not?" I smirk. She smiles before sliding into the seat by the window and I do the same, sitting beside her.
"So you booked these seats yourself, huh?" she asks. I grin and kiss her on the forehead.
"You bet." She smiles before wrapping her arms around my body and nuzzling her head into my chest. I place one arm around her and use the other to lightly place it on her belly. "I love you, Riley," I whisper.
"I love you too." There's suddenly those two pinging sounds that radiate through the plane as a warning that there was about to be an announcement.
"Hello, my name is Jeffrey and I am your pilot for today. The current weather outside is clear skies with sunny spells which means we should be taking off in a maximum of twenty-five minutes all going well. It is my pleasure to be your flight attendant to the tropical city of Miami this morning, we should be arriving there by 12:03 pm EST. Thank you for travelling with EasyJet Airlines."
"Miami... Here we come," I grin as Riley tightens her grip on me and lifts her head up for me to lightly kiss her lips.
