Her Sister's Boyfriend

Thalia's POV:

I watch as Riley leaves, walking past Amanda and then taking the small box of food out of her hands before continuing to walk off. I fold my arms, glaring hard at Emily. I get that she hasn't really done anything wrong and can be seen as the victim in this but it's not all Riley's fault. I understand that they're sisters and that it's probably not the most ideal situation but at the same time, she's pregnant with the guy, cut her some slack.

Suddenly, someone clears their throat from behind and when I turn around, I see Kate standing there, hands on hips and lips tight together as she shot a hard look over to everyone, sending them the message to be quiet. Michelle rolls her eyes and Emily grabs her hand, holding it firmly which makes me grit my teeth. She has no reason to rip out on Riley when she and James are already clearly over and she's moved onto Michelle. There's no need for it.

"Can someone please explain what in the world is going on right now? Internationals officially start tomorrow and you are all currently acting like a bunch of monkeys," she states. Max chuckles at that under his breath and I groan.

"My sister slept with my boyfriend," Emily states, her voice showing no emotion.

"And he cheated on her," Steph chips in unnecessarily. Kate seems to breathe through her nose as she sighs and allows her arms to drop beside her waist and everyone else except for Cierra and I raise eyebrows.

"Yeah, and with her sister too!" Michelle says.

"Ex-boyfriend you mean to say," Eldon forces in.

"It wasn't Riley's fault, Kate," I protest. Cierra nods aggressively in agreement. "Besides, Emily's not even straight anymore and she and James broke up. Ri's the one who's pregnant with him so whether or not it was her fault is completely beside the point right now."

"Exactly. If anything we should just blame James," Cierra adds.

"We will not be blaming anyone for anything," Kate interjects. I smile slightly at that but feel confused at the same time. I mean, I'm glad that she's not looking at this as Riley in the blame but at the same time, I just don't get why. Emily mumbles a couple of things as Steph rolls her eyes. "I'm not going to lie when I say that I already knew about them," she admits. We all seem to gasp at this, finding this very interesting if I do say so myself.

"What?!" Em shouts at the same time as Michelle.

"It's true. I saw the chemistry they have in their dance and when Riley told everyone about her being pregnant, I spoke to her, remember? And James came into the office too and they told me," she says.

Cierra stood next to me, biting her lip uneasily and then I raise an eyebrow, touching her arm slightly to ask what was wrong. She looks up at me and then back to Miss Kate.

"I... knew too," she says, putting her index finger in the air and stepping forward. "I found out after I saw them together... kissing after she left when we were all having a sleepover... I promised I wouldn't tell anyone though..." she says hesitantly. I frown, feeling slightly betrayed that Riley hadn't told me about it considering we're best friends. It's a bit odd that she didn't say anything but at the same time, I guess I can see where she was coming from. But then that means Cierra's known for quite a while but never said anything either.

"Oh for the love of god...!" Emily sighs angrily, turning her head away from everyone. James then walks over, finally making himself known in this whole situation.

"Can you all just stop it already," he says firmly in an emotionless tone with his hands in his pockets, still without a t-shirt on and standing in swimming trunks.
