Halima blinks back stray tears and stands up dusting her skirt even though she knows fully well that there's nothing to dust. Well, it's just a subconscious act that she's accustomed to. Falling on the stairs almost all the time she's rushing to get food from the kitchen back at her parents place has taught her that.

As she sniffs, trying to keep the tears at bay, Sa'eed passes beside her making sure no part of their bodies touch which is so unlike him. Whenever Sa'eed is passing beside her, no matter how wide the passage way he always touches her. Either by brushing their shoulders, using his fingers to slightly graze her thigh, hitting her ankle with his toes among others. And now, he's avoiding touching her like a plague and even though she whines anytime he trips her then catches her before she falls - another way of touching her -, it means alot to her. It's like their thing.

She rushes out and follows him almost tripping on the train of her skirt.

"Ya Omri, Ya Omri! What did I do? Did I offend you?" Halima follows Sa'eed and he turns abruptly making her hit his chest hard.

"Don't you ever call me that again, ever!" He turns away and continues walking. Aleesha is sitting on the couch typing away on her phone. He goes over to her and sits beside her then places his hands on her shoulder. Halima almost shouts in anger but her confusion has overpowered the anger that she doesn't even know what to do.

"Baby." Sa'eed nuzzles Aleesha's neck. Halima's whole body is shouting Haram to her but she can't even seem to move a muscle, it's like she's frozen on the spot.

Her phone's ring tone breaks her out of her trance so she rushes upstairs to pick the call.

"Assalamu Alaikum Mummy." Halima says before realizing how her voice sounds - scratchy - so she clears her throat and repeats her statement.

"Wa Alaikis Salam. Halima have you been crying?"

Don't let any third party come between your marriage.

Halima remembers her father's advice so she murmurs a no and they exchange pleasantries with her mother. After talking for almost thirty minutes, Hajjo is called upon so she bids Halima farewell and ends the call.

Halima remembers the scene she left in the parlor and sums up the courage to confront Sa'eed, she doesn't know what is happening but she knows it's not good.

Lash takes one last glance at herself in the mirror. She's clad in an amethyst fish rubber skirt and an alabaster sleeveless rubber top featuring an amethyst thigh length jacket and a plane alabaster veil. She goes over the answer she's giving Zulqa one last time before grabbing the keys to her powder white Bentley which she's driving because it matches her cloth.

She slips on her multicolored Reebok shoes and takes her alabaster Anna Belle side bag which contains all her essentials and a little cash. She sprays one last whiff of her Dior perfume before sauntering out.

"Angela, cancel all my appointments for today and tell anyone that comes here that I'm not in the country." Lash barks at Angela after she drops her bag on the passenger seat then drives off.

She arrives at the garden and takes deep breaths as she sights Zulqa sitting in a rice colored t-shirt and Sable Fekiraro Khaki. She looks at her makeup void face one last time in the mirror before taking her bag and stepping out.

They exchange Salams and Lash sits on the chair across from Zulqa. She can feel sweat trickling down her rubber top. But she just took her bath like thirty minutes ago! She gulps as a thick lump forms in her throat. She's never let anyone intimidate her but Zulqa is an exception.

The fact that she loves him and is willing to let him in all of a sudden scares her. She knows that it's highly unhealthy to say you love someone you meet like a week ago but what can she do, every heart decides their mate within a glance and there's nothing the owners of the hearts can do but succumb to such feelings.

But that's not all she's scared about, what if she eventually tells him the truth and he rejects her. If they're getting married then she'd like it that they don't keep anything from each other. What? Despite being a sorcerer in training she likes being honest and keeping a transparent relationship, no lies that heal but truths that hurt. It's better to tell a truth that would hurt now but heal forever than to tell a lie that would heal now but hurt forever.

"Have you made your decision or do you need more time?" Lash blushes and looks at him, unable to maintain eye contact, she drops her head and starts playing with the hem of her jacket. She's nervous as hell and she doesn't even know why. Zulqa isn't intimidating, at least to her.

She's just nervous about the fact that she has to tell him all about her darkest secrets, things not even Aleesha knows about. Things only her and her creator are aware of. He might feel disgusted, angry, surprised, flabbergasted or anything but she's willing to till him every bit and piece of her.

"Yes, I've made my decision." Lash finally summons enough courage to answer. She can't even remember what she planned to say so she's just going to wing it. Whatever comes out of her mouth.

"Alhamdulillah, so what is your decision. You don't need to speak, you can just nod your head, yes or no." Lash blushes and hesitates before nodding her head in a yes motion.

"It's a yes! Ya Allah Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillahi Rabbul Khaliqeen!" Zulqa shouts, the sound echoing throughout the garden. Lash gives him a wierd look as he goes down and does multiple Sujoodush-shukr. She never thought she's capable of making a human being this happy without doing anything.

Deciding that he's too happy to hear her pitiful and dark story Lash brings out her iPhone 11 pro max and takes a picture of Zulqa looking up at the sky, his hands folded in gratitude to the Almighty and eyes closed as the sun casts a shadow on his handsome face.

He's all mine, Alhamdulillah. Lash muses as she makes the picture her wallpaper.
