"Baby it's okay." Sa'eed says and Aleesha sniffs before taking another scoop of her chocolate chip ice-cream.

"Why can't your mom just accept me and love me like she does Halima? Am I a bad person?" Aleesha sniffs looks up with hopeful eyes at Sa'eed.

"No you're not. She's just trapped in that girl's spell. Don't worry okay?" Aleesha nods and she decides to voice out a plan of hers which will completely get rid of Halima.

"Why can't I worry? I have to. What do I do when you want to get married to me and she refuses to consent. Even if we get married I can't live with a hateful mother in law!" Aleesha cries.

"So what do you suggest we do?" Sa'eed asks.

"Let's get rid of Halima. Once she sees that Halima isn't available she'll have to let you marry me."

"Let me quickly write a divorce letter. That's the easiest way." Sa'eed opens his side drawer and withdraws a jotter and a pen. Aleesha stops him by placing her hand on top of his.

"If your mother says you must take her back then you have to. We have to make it such that she'll request for the divorce herself. Let's make it such that she wouldn't want anything to do with you." Aleesha smirks and explains the plan to Sa'eed.

They both smile victoriously and the door bursts open revealing a very angry Abba and a scared Halima. Aleesha smiles, thank goodness she didn't delay in telling him the plan. Abba slaps Sa'eed and Sa'eed slaps Abba back. Halima gapes in astonishment and Aleesha smiles proudly.

"Sa'eed did you just slap me?!" Abba looks bewildered and Sa'eed smiles.

"And I'll do it again and again."

"This is isn't my son. Unless you are back to your senses, you're not my son." Abba declares and turns when Sa'eed says a statement that hooks his feet.

"Was there a time that I ever was? You've always loved Fatima more, so it doesn't really matter." Sa'eed climbs the stairs but stops when he reaches the last step.

"And Halima, if you step out of this house then may the angels curse you for every step you take. I'm your husband and I say you must stay in this house."

Halima looks defeatedly at Abba and he gives her a single sympathetic nod before walking out with his head hung low remembering all the times Sa'eed comes to him with his love problems and what not but he tells him off insulting him for being in love at a tender age of fourteen but always asks Fatima whether there's a new catch whenever she attends an occasion.

Halima walks into her first sanctuary in the house; the kitchen. The second is the room outside that Sa'eed prepared for her for makeup and the third, the garden at the back. She suddenly remembers that the makeup training Sa'eed registered her for is in a month's time and it only makes her sadder than she already is. She would've been enjoying her second month of marriage but all thanks to that zany idiot, Aleesha AbdulMajid, none of that is happening.

She locks herself in the kitchen and starts preparing random meals. She whips, bakes, cooks and fries. After two and a half hours, she has arranged a platter of food on the middle counter.

There's chocolate chip southern tea cakes, chocolate cherry sundae, chicken vegetable soup, cous cous with carrot sauce, cooked peas, pounded yam and assorted egusi soup. She washes the used dishes and cleans the kitchen then opens the back door to visit the garden and work on it only to be hit on the head with a rod.

Darkness engulfs her and she falls to the ground with a loud thud. She's dragged into a car and driven to a secluded part of Abuja that's close to games village.
