Aleesha walks into the room with a tray holding Sa'eed's breakfast. Nowadays, he's been very demanding. Always comparing her to that disgusting being - Halima. She spurns away the thought from her mind and puts on her best smile as she tries to walk comfortably in Sa'eed's favorite cloth of Halima's - a milk colored atamfa with chocolate leafy patterns - which made her realize Halima is way more bustier, buxomer and way more curvaceous than she can ever be.

The cloth doesn't fit her at all. She had to use several safety pins to hold it in numerous places so it can fit but even then, she looks like a miniscule, wee woman. It's like placing a child's hand in a bowl and expecting it to fill it up.

Walking carefully so that the train of the cloth doesn't fall her down, she drops the tray in front of Sa'eed and heaves a sigh of relief, exasperatedly. Sa'eed gives her s skeptical look, as if trying to weigh her up.

"Halima always smiles when she's dropping my food, she always walks gracefully not like a fish that's forced out of its original home. And what is this?" Sa'eed raises the supposed 'bread roll' which looks more like bread soaked in water. Tears gather in Aleesha's eyes but she wipes them off.

"I don't fucking know how to make a bread roll okay? It's not my fault your wife was a very good cook." Aleesha turns to stomp out but falls flat on her face as she had stepped on the train of the skirt. Sa'eed laughs.

"Its. Not. Funny!" Aleesha enunciates every single word making Sa'eed burst into fits of laughter. She reminds him of a clown that Fatima got scared of at Sophie - their cousin - 's birthday party.

Aleesha huffs and walks out - to her room - and changes into a plain black abaya, she rolls a plain black veil around her head and picks her phone and the key to Sa'eed's car. With the intention of going to Lash's house, she drives out.

In reaching there, she's met with a banner saying 'for sale'.

"Where's the owner of this house?" Aleesha asks a passerby perplexed.

"How am I supposed to know? Try calling the person." Aleesha nods gratefully and enters her car. She tries to call Lash and the only message she gets is 'the number you're trying to call, does not exist. Please check the number, and try again. Thank you.'

Angrily, Aleesha hits her hand on the steering wheel and drives away. She decides to go visit Malam mai yanka. Just as she is about to enter Kado - an area in Abuja -, she sees Lash zooming off in a car that's definitely not hers, and a man is driving her.

Aleesha quickly follows the car and overtakes them ever so violently. The man driving, furiously comes out to give Aleesha a piece of his mind. She could've could've caused an accident had he not stepped on the breaks right on time.

"Are you blind? What if I hadn't noticed you on time? You'd have been dead by now." The man shouts and shouts but Aleesha ignores him and goes straight to the car and opens the door.

A surprised Lash with red puffy eyes is what she meets.

"Lash who's this man? Why are you selling your house and why didn't you tell me about it? Where are you living now? What happened to your phone? What..." Lash cuts off Aleesha.

"Why do you care? Huh? What have you ever done to me in life to help me? All you've done is make me do vile things and disobey Allah. And you think I'll just continue following you like a lost puppy? Not a chance! As from today on, I renounce my friendship with you. And please wherever you see me, stay the fuck away from me!."

"Wait what?"

"Do you remember what you did to me in Ss2, that thing that ruined my life?"

Lash sits down, trying so hard not to pull at her clothes. It has been a whole year since she was introduced to the so called family business and just this morning, her mother told her that on every day that marks the anniversary of her joining the family business, she has to advertise to atleast on person, other wise, she'd run mad.

Aleesha - her new friend at NTIC - is her only resort to run to as she can't trust anyone else with her secret. Just as she puts her head on the table, she is startled by Aleesha.

"Humylash what happened?" Aleesha frets, noticing Lash's eyes as they try hard to stay focused on one thing.

"I have something to tell you." Lash declares and Aleesha looks at her urging her to continue.

"I'm a sorceress. That's our family business." Lash says and almost immediately, all the bad feelings dissipate. Now she knows what her mother meant by she'll be okay once she shares.

Aleesha laughs making Lash give her a look that says 'are you seriously doing that right now?'

"You should be happy! Now you can use it to your advantage. First, can you cast a love spell?" Aleesha asks happily and Lash shakes her head making Aleesha's smile to drop. Her smile resurfaces again when she thinks of something.

"Can we do something to somebody and then make the person forget that thing?" Lash says yes and Aleesha squeals.

"But the highest it can last for is ten years."

"Ehn, that's not a problem. As long as the person forgets it, I don't have a problem." Aleesha shrugs.

"Who are you planning on making to forget something and what's that something?" Lash asks squinting her eyes.

"Well that something, is nothing you need to worry about. But the person, is none other than, Sa'eed Abba Sulayman."

Lash looks at the man urging him to come take her away from the place. She feels suffocated.

Once Lash leaves, Aleesha looks around, trying to decipher what the heck just happened. After realizing that there's nothing to do about Lash, she drives to Malam mai yanka's place. She needs to run a certain someone mad.

Lash closes her eyes taking deep breaths as she realizes what she's just done. She literally told Aleesha she doesn't want anything to do with her. Knowing Aleesha, she'd probably run to Malam mai yanka and in no time, Lash would be a deranged being, roaming the streets of Abuja. That, she doesn't want.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Zulqa breaks the silence that's starting to cloud over them. Lash hesitates before shaking her head. Zulqa nods understanding. She'll eventually open up to him, little by little. He'll make sure of that.
