Emaline's POV

I moved closer to Shadow and sat down next to her.

"So if you're bound to this family then do you know where Levi is?" I ask, not really caring where Kami is. She could be dead in a grave somewhere and I'd be laughing saying she was worthless anyway.

"No. I don't. But I can show you the rest of the Outlands," Shadow said. "You see that small town over there?" She points to the Northeast side of the island. "Over there is my home, Aurora Town. You see, the Outlands are made up of 9 factions: Amory's Kingdom, the Midnight City, Rein Town, the Animal or Animagus Kingdom, the City of Lost Souls, Rainbow Village, the Ancient Kingdom, the Elemental Fairy Forest and of course Aurora Town. But there are also 4 sub-factions: Riverside's Tower of Light and Riverside's Tower of Darkness and the Enchanted Crystal Lake."

"Oh, like the Friday the 13th movies and Camp Crystal Lake," I said expecting Shadow to not understand the reference considering she's over 1000 years old.

"Sort of except with a lot less Jason and a lot more gemstones," she replied smartly.

"Hang on. You said there were 4 sub-factions, what's the fourth?" I wonder. She turns away from me, quietly debating to herself.

"Should I tell her now or later when it really comes down to the wire. No, it's better if I tell her later then she won't be inclined to ask so many questions or even dare to go there," Shadow whispered. "Well the least I could do is warn her about it." She turns back around to me.

"You don't need to know about the last sub-faction. It's not important but I warn you. Don't go there." I can feel the harshness of Shadow's voice like daggers to my ear drums so I decided not to ask anymore questions. "Come on, I'll show you my home and you can rest up there. I can tell you're exhausted," Shadow grabbed onto my arm and flew towards Aurora Town.

Kamellia's POV

I step through the portal but everything is pitch black. Oh great, another spooky dark room. What awaits me here, I thought. I try to feel my way around, the feeling of deja vu looms over me. I take another step and see the opening to the cave.

The sun shined bright outside and it was warm. Thank God my dress is sleeveless. I looked up in the sky and saw something I couldn't really explain but then again I can't really explain any of what's happening to me and it's not because the author is writing through writer's block or anything. (*laughs nervously*... I'm sorry my writing is shit right now but I am writing through writer's block and it's kind of the worst thing ever to do cause it destroys a story. But anyway back into it) There were huge green and grey wings flapping, beating the air. I couldn't really make out anything else about the figure.

"Hey! Down here! Can you help me? Hey!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. The object stopped mid-flight and turned around, not far behind were two more: blue and pink pairs of wings with grey mixed in. Then not far behind them were four more and six came close as well. The green and grey object must've heard me calling cause it flew down and once it, um, she got closer I could tell she was a fairy. She landed in front of me, she was beautiful and colorful, well, as colorful as one can get with the color palette of forest green, lime green, grey, black and white.

"Hi. You're not from around here are you?" She asked.

"Uh, no. No, I'm not," I said kind of shyly. She smiled reassuringly.

"I'm Amari and you are?"

"Kamellia." She hummed in response.

"Very pretty. So what brings you here to the Outlands? Oh shit," Amari looks away embarrassedly. "Where is my hospitality today? Come on, I'd offer you some place to sit down or at least some water but we're not at my house. You want me to take you back to my house? I have water and these delicious lemon cookies my friend, Gwenneth made," she chuckles.

"Um. Okay? Sure," I don't exactly know how to respond to this girl being so nice to me. People usually aren't this nice, something felt off about it, maybe it's just me not knowing how to comprehend kindness correctly. But then again I've never really had any friends to show me kindness and obviously my parents never did.

My parents.

Where are they?

What happened to them? The last thing I remember is...

The car accident.

Leviathan's POV

A waterfall, we were flying toward a waterfall. 'It's about to get damp,' I understand now but I didn't just get damp, I got fucking drenched from that damn waterfall. Shadow and I landed on top of the cliffs next to the rainbow waterfall. I was dripping wet, I looked over to Shadow and she didn't even have a single drop of water on her.

"Where the hell were we?" I ask ringing out my blue shirt.

"We were in the Aqua Caverns. Home to the biggest killer jellyfish and the most annoying elementals," Shadow said gritting her teeth, obviously pissed off. "If any of them found us there, they would have taken us to Nalu, the head water whatever and she would have fed us to her pet: Coral the killer jellyfish," she answered. We both paused and took a breath. I looked out at the amazing view, it was the most gorgeous thing I had ever seen, well besides my lovely wife of course. In the distance there were villages and castles, and towers, forests and lakes, futuristically progessive cities that were ahead of their time even. It was all so unreal and magical.

This was basically a shit expositional chapter because as Kami said I'm trying for all the readers to write through my writers block but it's kind of hard so I might rewrite this chapter too. There are 982 words in this chapter. But anyway chapter 5 will come out next Sunday (January 24th, 2021). Until then I love you all! -Silverstorm
