Nothing really happened the rest of that week, except for Dean still trying to get me to talk to him, and Delilah making me do more work after school, getting ready to plant the fields next week.

Delilah wanted us to grow wheat and corn, because she wanted to sell it to make money for herself and not the barn. She wanted the easy way to get money and not doing the hard work like us, the group.

What she doesn't know was that, she got half of the money that we had made by selling the corn and wheat, and we got the other half of the sales. For the cattle that we raised for meat, we, the group, got all of the money for it as well as half of the sales of horses. Also, we raised Purebred Border Collies, and we kept all the money for that. However, we mostly kept them, the Border Collies, to protect the livestock as well as train them to move herds around.

"Ella?" a voice asked behind me from where I was leaning against the fence, watching Spot and Hope in a field.

"Hmm?" I asked, still in my thoughts. I blinked and turned around, towards the voice, to see that Red was looking at me, a curious expression on his face. "What is it, Red?"

"Are ye all right?" Concern filled his voice, and it made me wonder how many times he had called for me.

I turned back to look at the mare and foal, before nodding my head. "Ya, I'm fine." I sighed. "I miss Blue though." A grimace appeared on my face when I thought of Baxley when she finally heard the news that my horse had been sold without my consent. "Bax was kind of pissed when she heard the news, and I feared for my life, hoping that she wouldn't kill me because I didn't tell her." A smile flickered on my face, glad that I had a friend like her.

Red chuckled while he came over to me. He leaned on the fence across from me. "Ye didn't fear for yer mo- step mother's life?"

I shook my head no. "Are you kidding me?" I asked. "That bitch ruined my life more than anything else." I huffed, glaring off into space. "I'm glad that she isn't here right now," I muttered, knowing that she would be at her daughter's show, and Patches wouldn't be doing well with Clarice.

"So am I," he replied. He touched my arm. "Come, I wanna show ye somethin'."

I frowned, but I followed him towards his truck. "Where are we going?" I asked, finally. I was curious about where we were headed, since we still had work to do.

Red glanced back at me and smirked. "Ye'll see," he replied, hopping into his truck.

I couldn't help but huff, hating the fact that Red was trying to surprise me, even though he all ready knew that I hated surprises. However, like the good girl I was, I followed him into the truck, and we were off.

"Red, please just tell me where we are going," I said, for the billionth time during the whole trip. I covered my ears and groaned when Red belted out a chorus to a song that he shouldn't be singing, because he didn't know the words. I closed my eyes and moved closer to the passenger door, trying to get away from his voice.

"I have you," he sung, way off key.

"OK, FINE I'LL STOP ASKING. CAN YOU JUST PLEASE SHUT THE HELL UP ALL READY?!" I roared over the music, causing Red to bark out laughing.

"I knew that would get to ye," he teased, turning down the music to a more suitable level. He glanced over at me, a smirk on his face while he watched me try to stop the ringing in my ears.

"Has anyone told you how horrible you sing, lately?" I asked, shaking my head. I grimaced, hoping that I wouldn't go deaf.

"Yes," he replied. "Bunches of times."

I couldn't help but groan and lean against the window, watching as the world went by. "What will happen if Delilah finds out that I had been gone without her permission?" I asked.

"We'll take care of that. Don't ye worry yer pretty little head on that, Ella," he replied. "Ye needed the break, because she had been pushing ye so hard."

"I'm used to it," I muttered, folding my arms across my chest.

Red grunted but didn't say a word while he pulled into a farm that was called 'Wither's Farm'. "We are close," he said. "Are ye ready for your surprise?"

"No," I muttered, looking at him through my peripheral vision.

Red smiled at me before he looked around. "Ye will like it," he said. "Don't ye worry."

I huffed, but I didn't say a word while I watched as white after white fence passed by filled with the most beautiful horses that I had ever seen.

My heart clenched in sadness, because I knew that Blue would have loved it here because of the wide open space as well as different horse breeds.

I just hoped one day that I would be able to see him again.
