A/N: Ok, so I'm sure most (if not some) have guessed that where Ella is going was to meet up with her horse. However, you didn't know how. ;) That my friends is good writing. xD

A male that looked like Red was watching the old truck pull up the long driveway. There was a grin on his face, and he started to wave hello, viguourlsy.
"Do I know him?" I asked, frowning. "And why is he waving like that?"
Red chuckled. "Ye don't know him," he replied. "I do, though. His name Alec Davis, and he's been working here for years."
"How many people do you know?" I asked. I was curious. It seemed like that he knew a lot of people.
Red chuckled, again. "Ye will know a lot of people when yer in the horse racing business," he replied. "Yer father was a very popular person."
I shrugged my shoulder. I had all ready known that because I had gotten pity looks from people that had known him. "It happens," I replied, causing him to chuckle a third time.
"Aye, it does." He nodded his head before he stopped the truck. "Yer surprise is indoors." He opened the door of the truck and clambered up. After he had shut the door, he walked over to his friend and started to talk to him. He gestured to the truck where I was in, causing the other male to look at me. Red looked back at me and raised an eyebrow when he saw that I was still in the car.
I took a shuddering breath, knowing that he was wanting me to get out of the truck. With hesitant hands, I grabbed hold of the door handle and opened it before jumping out. I slammed the door shut before I made my way over to them.
"You must be Ella," the Scottish male said. "I'm Alec." He held out his hand.
"Nice to meet you, Alec," I replied, smiling. "Red hasn't told me about you." I gave Red a look, making him grin.
Alec chuckled. "Aye. I knew about ye because of yer father. Ye were a pretty girl, and ye are beautiful female."
I smiled and looked down, blushing slightly. "Thank you for the compliment, Sir."
Alec smiled. "Ye are here to see yer horse, yes?"
I frowned and looked at Red. "My horse?"
Alec looked at Red. "Ye didn't tell her?"
Red shrugged. "It was supposed to be a surprise." Red turned to me and grinned. "Surprise."
I couldn't help but smile and shake my head. "You are helpless." I gave him a hug, making him laugh and hug me back. "Thank you."
Red smiled and patted my back. "No problem," he said. "Now, let's go see yer horse."
I nodded my head and took a deep breath. "Let's go see him." With that, I grabbed hold of his hand and started to pull him in the direction the car was facing.
Alec laughed and walked forward, getting in front of us. "I'll show ye where he is," he said. He glanced at Red, smirking. "Is she always this forceful?"
"Ay, with us," Red replied, causing me to grin innocently. He scowled playfully. "But we love her just the same."
Alec nodded. "Aye, I can see why."
I smiled at him. However, it turned into a frown when I heard a startled whinny coming from the direction that we were headed. I looked at Red, and I saw the same look in his eyes. "Blue," I muttered. With that, I let go of his hand and started running in the direction that I had heard the terrified whinny.
