Chapter 72. Misdirection

(A/n: Yay another update lol, the next chap. will be uploaded in 1-2 days~ Also minor spoilers ~takes place after Season 4~ down below read with caution, enjoy!)

Ugh... my head. Yuck, the taste of iron settled on my tastebuds. I jolted with pain as I opened my eyes and saw my leg had been bandaged and my wrist had a huge band-aid on it.

I slightly gasped seeing I was no longer on the ground as I recalled before losing consciousness. I was in some sort of vehicle and with me was Touya and Mr. Compress.

Please don't tell me I got kidnapped by the League again. Or worse they got sent by All for One?! No... Tenko and Touya wouldn't do that to me... would they?

"In Shogi the point is to take out the king, right?" I heard a way too familiar raspy voice.

"It's not exactly that simple." Another familiar voice spoke.

A strange sound was increasing. The vehicle's back doors opened and I could clearly hear the sound of police sirens not too far away.

"Hey Lizard stop swerving! I get motion sick." Touya spat.

Huh he still gets motion sick... how nostalgic.

"Don't call me Lizard, the name's Spinner!"

"Shut up and focus on driving!" Touya yelled back.

I sighed, trying to sit up, I don't think anyone has noticed that I've woken up. Never mind that, where are we going? More importantly where is Eri??

"Let's go." Touya spoke, thus bringing me back from my reveries. A devious smirk appearing on his face as he shot out his flames straight ahead.

Fuck... I can't move... everything hurts. I don't even have the energy to use my quirks right now.

"Huh?" Touya muttered with displeasure. "What is this?"

Blocking Touya's attack seemed to be someone with a sand quirk.

"Ugh, of course they'd send a hero with them. What a pain. Spinner slow down." Tenko's voice made it into my ears. Just where is he?

My breath hitch as I saw Tenko leaping from what appeared to be at the top of the van towards the police car with a hero conducing it. Fuck I don't have any strength to stop them...

Please don't tell me Tenko is planning to kill this hero??! I sighed a bit in relief when I saw that sand hero stop Tenko from whatever crazy thing he was doing but part of me knew this wouldn't stop him.

"He's getting pretty famous." Touya commented as he and Mr. Compress watched.

Mr. Compress adding, "Shigaraki is only a misdirection. A little sleight of hand if you will." My eyes widened when I saw him use his quirk to set the car out of course. "Watch carefully as the police car flies through the air no trickery or wires involved."

Tenko was swift and graceful through the air, trying to reach the other van, meanwhile Touya and Mr. Compress elegantly jumped out of the van. I proceeded to move my body and took a deep breath. As soon as I did, I felt my mind becoming less foggy and my body was moving like normal.

I was about to follow Touya when I saw the a black van flip to its side thanks to Tenko's malicious doing. The sand hero quickly grabbed the policeman and asked if he was alright. My heart beat rapidly as I saw Touya approaching them.

"How predictable. Heroes always prioritize saving lives." Touya mocked.

"All those burnt corpses that've been turning up here and there lately, it's been your doing hasn't it?" the hero asked with anger.
