Given we had the day off, Hiro and I disguised ourselves to wander around the city. I had our hair manipulated into black with vibrant blue streaks, gold colored eyes. Hiro was a toddler of three years old in my arms and I was still 16 years of age. I dressed in a white sundress with sandals, meanwhile Hiro wore a cute navy long sleeve with matching colored pants and white sneakers. From a far distance no one could distinguish us.
Although, walking in the street was deemed utterly dangerous for us, Hiro and I decided we needed to be familiar with the city given we were practically foreigners to the world outside those awful rooms we've been locked in. If the situation ever occurred to us, say if we needed to escape of thought we were being followed we needed to know which areas of the city were dead ends and such.
We also thought that we'd try buying marshmallows because Hiro was craving some to make smores.
It was late at night. Around 10 pm. We were in the convenience store, I set Hiro down as I paid for the marshmallows and chocolate, as well as a couple of our favorite drinks.
"Did it hurt?"
"Excuse me?" I asked the sales clerk who had asked me an irrelevant question.
He leaned toward the counter as I gave him an odd look.
"Heh, I mean did it hurt when you fell from heaven."
"Um I didn't fall." I seriously answered. "Does it look like I fell?" I deadpanned.
The young man grinned and threw an amused giggle. "Feel my shirt."
"What the—" I my eyebrow rose with suspicion, "Um are you feeling okay?"
He sighed, "You're a tough one huh? I said, feel my shirt. Know what it's made of? Boyfriend material." He smirked and tried reaching for my hand.
"No thanks. I don't like touching strangers." I irritably responded.
He chuckled, "Ah, no worries that can change. Here, why don't you—"
"Who said I wanted a change? The only change I want is in form of currency. Now give me my change and purchased items or I won't hesitate to smack the stupid smile right off your face." I deadpanned.
The guy's face turned pale as he nodded rapidly and gave me my items. I rolled my eyes and sighed as we exited the store. Hiro oddly tugging my hand as I was muttering about how annoying some people can be and how they're too extroverted but to my shock Hiro's not listening. He drags me across the street with enthusiasm.
Before I have the chance to call out to him he lets go of my hand and I fearfully gasp as I call out his name. What on earth is he doing??!
Minutes Earlier—Hiroki's POV
Neechan is fighting with the cashier again. I don't think she understands that boys like her. My Neechan is odd. But I love her anyways.
As she grumbles and sighs, tapping her foot impatiently, my attention drifts to the glass doors where I see something blue flicker across the street in the dark alley. I squint my eyes and see there's a man, a little older looking than [Name] in a black jacket, black ripped jeans—his whole appearance was goth-like. He seemed very interesting.
Whoa... he showed that other man next to him his quirk. He's a flame user. And it's blue! My favorite color! Hm? But the other guy ran off... maybe he was scared, or busy, or maybe he was sick and had something like I dunno diarrhea and ran to the nearest bathroom.
Ah, he's moving towards the sidewalk, I wanna meet him! Maybe he'll show me his quirk. Better yet he can be my friend since Neechan won't let me talk to the people at UA.
