Chapter 10. Familiarity

After being walked home by Bakugou to my surprise, Hiro turns back to his actual age and starts laughing. I sigh and ask him why he licked Bakugou.

"Hehe, he smelled good, like candy no wait even better like caramel pancakes!" he exclaimed.

"Well for whatever reason you did so, it was funny." I chuckled.

"I want Boom-Boom to babysit me someday, he's fun and loud!"

"I thought you didn't like loud things, people, to be precise?" I asked crossing my arms with a dubious expression.

"He's an exception! He's so cool! And smells good and I want my hair like his! No wait, I like the candy-cane boy's hair too! Ah but Deku's is so green and fluffy too!"

Hiro mentioning Deku, well Izuku made me think back to the whole conversation Bakugou and I had. While I set the table to feed Hiro his dinner, I thought back to it. So, Bakugou and Izuku are childhood friends, who are basically rivals now. Interesting... better yet, Bakugou said Izuku was quirkless, he was sure of it. And he doesn't seem the type of guy to lie. But does that mean...

"Neechan? Why did Boom-Boom say Deku was quirkless?" Hiro asked exiting the bathroom.

"I'm not sure but apparently Izuku was, as a child." I explain in a light tone.

"But why does he have one now?"

"He could be a late bloomer but..."

"You don't think he's... could he!?" Hiro's eyes shined.

"I... think so. There's no other explanation but then again, he doesn't have control of it. All Might was quirkless remember? He easily adapted to the quirk passed down to him by Shimura Nana."

"The lady... dad killed?"

My eyes widen. "Hiro... how do you know that?" I ask with a stunned tone.

He shrugged, "I heard him tell you that and how All Might would be suffering a similar fate."

"Hiro..." I run to him as he starts crying. "Please don't cry. All Might will live, and I'm sure if Izuku is his successor he will too, he won't let All Might die. But listen to me Hiro..." I say patting his head tenderly, "I need to investigate about Izuku's quirk and how he got it, what happened at the entrance exam, things like that before we assume he's the successor. After that happens we need to let them know we know."

"And then we can tell All Might the whole truth??!" Hiro asked peering at me happily.

I nod. "I promise, just give me a little time to make things right." He gleefully nodded with a strong smile. I smiled back at him.

"Izuku... could it really be you... what exactly did you tell Bakugou today?" I mused.

Time Skip~

It's been a few days since I've been snooping around for further information about Izuku. I haven't found out much. Izuku was beginning to get suspicious, nervous more like it. Iida told me about the entrance exam, so did Ochaco. But so far the puzzle pieces are not fitting as I wished. There's still much more I need to know before I make the assumption and confront Izuku.

Today, had been one of those days most students curse; running late to school due to over sleeping.

"Neechan we're going to be late!" Hiro shouted by the door.

"Ugh. Why does school have to start this early..." I grumbled as I unsteadily made my way towards Hiro.

I had my jacket in hand, grabbed Hiro's baby stuff and told him to baby-himself up. He nodded and poof! Baby Hiro and I started to head on out. "Wait." Hiro tugged my hand. "Let me teleport us!"
