Chapter 34. Bloody Stain

Chaos surged within the city of Hosu. People we heard screaming, running, panicking for their lives. All because a bunch of Nomu decided to terrorize everyone. Tenko is walking on thin ice. He is so going to pay for this.

I kept running, with my hand in my phone. I was having trouble getting there, since I didn't know the area well. I stopped, trying to find where and how far I was from Izuku when I abruptly felt my shoulder being touched. I flinched and activated my invisibility shield over my body. I turned around and realized I had made a huge mistake.

It wasn't a villain or anyone threatening that had touched me. It was Shoto. Todoroki Shoto.

"[Name]?" Shoto spoke monotonously but his mismatched eyes had widened.

I deactivated my quirk and nervously said, "S-Shoto?" I stuttered, "Um, what are you doing here?"

"You can... turn invisible?" his voice was filled with hesitation.

"It's a long story... but never mind that. Did you see Izuku's message?"

He shook his head quickly before nodding, "Yeah, I assume you were heading there as well?"

"Mhmm." I hummed.

"Let's go then, I have a bad feeling about this."

"The feeling is mutual."

Shoto grabbed my hand, his warm hand tangled with mine. We took off running, Shoto leading the way. However now I had two things to worry about. One being how I was going to explain to Shoto about what he saw, and second the most important one, I worried about Izuku. What if... he ran into—

"The Hero Killer..." I spoke with a low tone, as my eyes narrowed at the sight of Iida injured, who was paralyzed by Stain's quirk, Izuku who was having fighting Stain, and a pro hero immobilized.

"Midoriya. Learn to write... more specific directions." Shoto spoke as we both arrived hand in hand. "We were almost too late."

"Took me a few seconds to figure it out. That group text to everyone with nothing but your location." Shoto told Izuku who stood laying behind us, all three of them did while Shoto and I got into a fighting stance.

"Luckily for you Izuku, we were in the area and able to decipher what you meant." I added.

"Don't worry in just a few more minutes... the pros will be here."

I glanced at Shoto who left arm was engulfed in flames. I went to check on the three... just as I suspected, Stain had used his quirk on them.

"Shoto... don't let him get close to you. His quirk..."

"Todoroki, [Name], don't let him draw blood!" Izuku exclaimed, "Pretty sure he paralyzes opponents by ingesting their blood! That's how he got us!"

"That explains all the blades."

"Keep your distance." I reminded him again.

"Right."

Just then a knife flew towards Shoto, cutting his cheek, a little below his scar.

"Shoto!" I shouted panicked.

"You've got some good friends..." Stain spoke to Iida as he rushed towards Shoto, grabbing him by his hero attire.

I moved my hands in a circular motion, quickly drawing a bubble shield in between them, I ran towards Shoto, in the process of making the bubble shield explode into a strong gust of wind. Stain flew back and I seized Shoto's arm.
