IIt was now Thursday and tomorrow are the quidditch try outs. I tried to tell Cedric I couldn't try out multiple times, but I couldn't. So I'm just going to do it. My arm got better and I didn't need the sling anymore, but it's still a little sensitive. Right now I was walking with Scarlett to potions. Evie had left us for Blaise. They were basically a couple at this point, but they aren't official, yet. Blaise came to the Hufflepuff common room to talk to me and Scarlett, we left Evie alone with Cedric. It took a lot of convincing that didn't need to come with us, but after a few angry glares she stayed with Cedric. Poor Cedric probably had to sit through her ranting on about how annoying we are the whole time we were away. Blaise asked us how he should ask Evie to be his girlfriend.
'So my question is... How should I ask Evie? I'm really bad at this stuff and it's not like I can ask my friends. Girls won't even come near Crabbe and Goyle and all Draco does is fuck around, well did... I don't know what happened to him. Not the point. How should I ask her?' He asks. He sounds really nervous, I never noticed, but he and Evie are actually very similar in the way they talk when they are nervous.
'You should take her on a date or write a poem,' I answer. I have always liked the idea of being asked out with a poem, it sounds romantic.
'Yes, you could take her on a date to Hogsmeade this weekend, will help you,' Scarlett adds.
'Thanks girls. I will ask her to accompany me this weekend to the Hogsmeade trip and ask her at the three broomsticks,' he says while smiling wildly.
When he mentioned Draco I thought about it and realized he even stopped snogging girls all over the castle. I didn't get the chance to talk to Draco these past few days. Most of the time he didn't attend his classes and even skipped meals. I also had a bunch of homework, who I had been doing after school and so I didn't have any time left to search for Draco after classes. Scarlett and I arrive at the potions classroom and see Draco storm out. This is the first time I see him after the fainting incident. His skin was now even paler and the greyish tone was worse, his cheekbones were more visible than usual and he looked like hadn't slept or eaten in days. A feeling of guilt washes over me. I know none of it is my fault, but I still feel like I should have done something. He didn't close the door entirely so when I look in I see Snape standing in the middle of the classroom with is typical emotionless face, yet I think I can spot a hint of worry in his expression, that disappears when he sees me looking through door.
'You may come in,' he says and turns around towards his desk. I walk in, but before I can take a seat next to Scarlett Snape stops me with a spell 'I have chosen the partners for today's lesson,' he says and he breaks the spell. I hear Scarlett let out an annoyed sight and watch a small piece of chalk write names on the board in the front of the room. Scarlett's name is next to Vincent Crabbe, she whines, stands up and starts walking towards him. When the chalk is done writing my name I see who is next to my name. Malfoy. I look around the room searching for him, but then I remember him storming out of the classroom right before the lesson. But that means I have to make my potion alone and I am forced to, not only read the instructions of the potion, but also actually make it. I calm myself down and take a seat behind Evie and Blaise, who had been partnered up together. 'This will be your partner for the next couple of months,' Snape says after everyone had sat down. 'I will grade every potion and if you are failing after these months, you are required to take tutor lessons,' Oh this man is evil, he knows I am absolutely terrible at making potions, he knows Draco never attends this class, he knows that this means I have no other option than make them on my own and he knows that that won't end well. 'Today we are going to make the Antidote to Common Poisons,' Snape says. 'Begin.' And everyone gets to work. I know which ingredients I need without the book so I am the first one back at my table with everything I need and I start making it. After a while the potion is the exact brown color my book describes, but just when I think I am actually able to make a potion on my own, it blows up. The thick brown substance splashes all over my face and robe. I wipe the potion of my eyes and I see everyone looking at me and I hear a few kids chuckling. 'That will be a dreadful for Mrs. Jupiter,' Snape says. 'Now clean yourself and this mess up.'

'Well, at least you didn't make a dangerous potion blow up, otherwise you would be in the infirmary for the second time in the first week of school,' Scarlett says. She and Evie came with me after potions had finished to help me clean up. I had taken a shower and was now putting on my clothes. Scarlett and Evie were sitting on their beds writing the essay Umbridge had given us and they laughed at Scarlett's joke.
'Ha ha funny, keep on laughing,' I joke 'but Snape doesn't hate you guys. I'll bet you all my money he put me with Draco on purpose, because he knew Draco never shows up and he just wanted to see me fail terribly.'
'Which he got, obviously,' Evie says and we laugh even harder. I finish putting on my clothes and we walk our next class, Charms, which we have with the Ravenclaws. Charms is my favorite subject and also my best. I managed all the spells we will be learning this year, including non-verbal spells, last year. So all I have to this year is write essays. Mcgonagall is talking about the water making spell Aguamenti, this spell conjures clear, drinkable water from the end of the wand.
'You can now try to fill the cup in front of you with water,' Mcgonagall says. I use the spell nonverbally and my cup fills with water, while the other students are still struggling to get it right.
'How do you do that?' Scarlett says. 'You always get the spell right the first time you try it.' She got frustrated after multiple failed attempts.
'Try to keep your hand steadier,' I help her and she finally succeeds. After Charms I walk to the library to finish my Herbology homework. I work, after a while I see that it's getting dark and when I look at the time I realize I missed dinner. I pack my things and start walking towards the Hufflepuff common room until I hear shouting. I stop walking and to hear where the shouting is coming from. The noise comes from the bathroom. I slowly walk towards the bathroom. When I arrive at the bathroom I see the ground is covered in water and I see Harry and Draco shooting spells at each other.
'Stop it!' I yell panicked, but they don't stop.
'Crus-' I hear Draco start so I jump in front of Harry ready to protect him, but at the same time Harry yells another spell. I'm thrown against Draco, who hits his head hard on the ground and falls unconscious. Then I realize the stabbing pain in my stomach and when I look down I see blood staining my white shirt. I gasp for air, but it seems like I can't get any. I hear footsteps and see Snape coming into the bathroom. He looks at Harry for a second and then walks over to me and Draco. He starts muttering spells and the pain in my stomach becomes less horrible. When the pain disappeared almost completely I look around and see that Harry had left, which left me, Snape and Draco, who was still unconscious, alone.
'You will stay at the hospital wing overnight,' Snape says and he picks Draco up and walks out of the bathroom. I stand up and walk towards the infirmary where I see Draco a bed. It seems like Snape explained what happened, because Mrs. Pomfrey knew exactly what to do. She told me to lay down, drink a potion and sleep. After she took care of me and Draco she left. I went through everything that had happened this evening and what the fight could have been about and what would happen if Draco woke up. He saw me jump in front of him to protect Harry, which means he probably won't trust me when he wakes up. Then I come up with an idea, I should erase the memory of me interfering in the fight. I get out of my bed and when my feet touch the cold ground I shiver. I walk towards Draco and see his head in a bandage and his chest rise and fall. I know that if a Memory Charm is preformed improperly it could erase significant portions of Draco's memory and cause brain damage, so this has to go right. I'm very nervous and my hand is shaking. I take a deep breath and use the Forgetfulness Charm on Draco. I look at him peacefully sleeping, and I wish I could just take all his pain away. Then I walk back to my bed. I drift off to sleep hoping I did it right and everything is going to work out.
