CHAPTER 1
baby fever

it was just another day, another horrible day according to levi. but to be fair he was never one to wake up and admire the beautiful sky or smell the fresh flowers. life was a routine to him, a checklist that needed to be completed by the end of the day because if it wasn't, he'd be unsuccessful.

although to you, it was a beautiful day. the sun shined bright upon the flowers, causing them to bloom. they released a scent—one you could never describe but you loved it. the wind lightly brushed against your skin and made the flowers dance in perfect harmony.

you ran into the mess hall, dragging in dirt from the garden. your long dress covered in mud and grass stains. then your hair which was extremely tangled, branches and leafs knotted in between the strands and your face was covered with dirt spots.

the second one of the soldiers spotted you prancing around the area and he looked over and whispering to his friend, "captain levi isn't going to be happy when he comes in here."

running over to hange and moblit you smiled. "can you teach me some more stuff about titans? i finished gardening and it was amazing!" your eyes sparkled. finishing your chores then moving on to an afternoon with hange was the highlight of your day and looking back at it, a bit of her personality rubbed off on you.

hange's face lit up in excitement while moblit awkwardly smiled, nudging the titan nerd in attempt to signal her on the man who'd just walked in. "i'd love—"

in a piercing tone you heard, "she's not going anywhere."

whipping your head around you saw him—it was levi! without thinking you ran toward him, ready to throw your arms around him and excited to tell him about your day, but from the looks of it he might've already found out.

maybe it was the dirt path that led to the dinning area that gave it away? or the fact that you were a complete mess? but whatever it was, the vein in levi's forward was about to burst and hange found it hilarious.

"i've been gone one hour and within that hour you've managed to drag dirt into the mess hall and not only that but look at yourself—you're dirty," he took a handkerchief out of his back pocket and bent down to meet you eye to eye, roughly cleaning the dirt off your face.
