And we're back to depression. However, some of you will be pleased that Rubble has his first chapter all to himself. I was unsure of Rubble's character, so it took a while to truly understand his personality and issues (cos all of them have issues of some sort). I finally decided to do something a lot of people can relate to, which is their parents splitting up. I should just shut up now and let you read the story. Warning! This is a long chapter. Here goes...

The Seven Teens were hanging out at Skye, Everest and Rocky's house. They were waiting for Rubble.

'It's not like him to be this late,' muttered Everest, looking at her watch.

'Do you think he's okay?'

'I'm suwe he's fine...but maybe call him in cas-'

But they didn't need to call him, as he came to the door.

'Hi Rubble. You okay?' asked Chase, as they all ran to him.

'Yeah. Well a bit.'

Everest put her hand on his shoulder.

'Want to talk about it?'

'Sure.'

'I better go put the kettle on.'

Everyone looked at Rocky in shock.

'Oh c'mon guys! I miss having tea! And my arm is a lot better anyway!'

Rocky went in the kitchen. Zuma soon followed.

'Just in case...' he whispered. The others laughed.

'So...what happened?'

Flashback: Christmas 2 years ago

Rubble was sat at the tree with his parents, where some presents lay on the floor. Rubble wasn't excited about that though. He was happier to spend Christmas with his new step-dad. He didn't have much money recently because his work was shut down. That didn't matter though, because he had such a lovable personality. He was funny, caring and sweet, even if a bit stubborn.

His mum was a university teacher. She was an expert in drama, which was understandable since she was a drama queen at the best of times. However, his mum was a little money-orientated. A little was a bit of an understatement. She wanted to get a divorce, but went against it because otherwise it would break her son's heart. Little did she know was that keeping her hatred a secret would not work out. Causing a chain of events that would eventually make Rubble's life hell.

Here we are on Christmas Day.

Rubble ran down in his red checked pyjamas. His parents were waiting for him, smiles on his faces. If somebody looked at them at this point, they would think they were a happy family. They were. Until two minutes later.

His mum pointed to a pile that was for Rubble. It was a rather small pile, but Rubble didn't care. He was just happy that he had such a perfect family. It was too good to be true.

He opened them, one by one. He took his time, feeling the presents and trying to guess what was inside. Mum had bought him some building sets and a brand new computer.

'Woah. Thanks Mum.'

He soon came to a smaller pile. From his new dad. He smiled as he slid the paper off of a handmade plaque, which had three people with huge beaming faces. The word 'Family' was written across it in the shape of a rainbow. Rubble ran over and hugged him.

'Thank you!'

'I know it's not much...'

His mum scoffed.
