For two weeks, Brian held it inside that he had seen what Allison had written to Melyssa. He didn't want to bring it up and make it seem like he didn't trust her - that wasn't the case. Maybe she was just drunk and felt like that was her only way out.
Since then, Allison has gotten a letter in the mail for a court hearing. Calvin wanted to get a sliver of custody so he could see their daughter when she was over at the mothers. She of course was against her even knowing the man, but she knew how to system worked - he was out, wasn't he?
She found the best lawyer Northern New Jersey had to offer and had been working with him on her case. He warned her that he was going to do everything he could to withhold Calvin's part of the deal, though it could work out in his favor because of case workers. Calvin's parents came from big money so she knew he was going to get the best of the best.
"So I'll get back to you once I hear from my financial adviser. I hope to see you next week, we have a lot to put together."
"I'll be waiting for the call. Thank you." Allison smiled politely at the middle aged man who reminded her of Brian - it must have been the eyes though Brian's eyes are like soft melted chocolate. When she got out of the office, she didn't bother to check her phone. At this time of day, a taxi would take her twice as long as if she was on foot. With that being said, she suddenly wished her heels weren't so high.
Brian was beginning to feel upset almost daily. He knew that Allison had so much on her plate to deal with, but he also was starting to get worried that she'll slip away. He loved her so quickly and so fully that if he thought about it, it destroyed his mood.
"Brian, it's all you buddy." Joe patted him on the back, knowing he had been upset the past couple of days. He had reached out to Sal, who of course, reached out to Joe. Brian wordlessly set off to the busy street of New York to convince some random person they knew him, by the signs the guys held up.Allison sighed heavily while checking her appearance before going into her CEO's office. With her working extra hours, they weren't offering overtime, which was the point of her being there at night. She had talked to her supervisor, who insisted on talking to Greg - the CEO - in person.
"Hey Liz," Allison greeted the receptionist with a warm smile who did nothing but pause her typing to look up at her, then continue to stare at her screen. "If you don't mind letting Greg know I'm here." She turned around to sit down in the uncomfortable, stiff leather seats.Liz rolled her eyes and lifted the phone to casually say. "Allison is here." After a few moments the phone hung up and she added, "You can go on in."
"Hello Mr. Culley," Allison smiled brightly and stuck her hand out to shake his. He offered his hand and a small smile, gesturing to the more comfortable seats to sit in.
"It's good to see you Allison. I haven't had the chance to see you in person to tell you how much I appreciate your efforts in keeping sales at an all time high, especially the continuance of it after the holidays.""This company has been there for me since I was attending school, so I am honored to be helping with so much." Allison adjusted herself, crossing her legs and leaning forward. She felt her face get read as she searched for the courage to continue. "With that being said, I was wondering if my pay would reflect on the overtime I've put into this company for the past few weeks."
