home room ended, the only announcements that were made was so make sure to attend the performance showcase. everyone was so pumped about it, meanwhile, i had to remember the chords and lyrics to a song i've never heard before. i rushed out of the door and began to walk out of the school. jeremy and owen had went to dance classroom to go collect carolynn and ella. i insisted they go without me because i needed to find charlie.

"mia!" i heard someone call, i turned around and saw charlie jogging towards me, his hand on his backpack. seeing him kinda made my heart twirl. hearing his voice made my stomach flutter. i can't help but feel this way about him. it's only been my first day and i'm already falling for this kid.

it's not fair.

but the way he moves.he trots along, effortlessly looking handsome.

he finally stopped on his tracks and spoke.

"hi charlie." i commented and he smiled. he was breathing lightly after all the running. his hair was all fluffed and his teeth were glistening from the beautiful smile he presented.

"so how's this gonna work?" i assumed he was referencing our rehearsal when he asked that. i couldn't stop staring at him, it was kinda weird.

"we could rehearse at my house?" i offered. i had everything that we needed, a guitar, a piano and some sheet music. i also did need to get ready.

"are you sure, will your family be okay with that?" he asked with an unsure look on his face. he looked a bit worried about it.

"charlie, they'll be fine. well i assume they don't know about what happened at school just yet." i turned on my heal of my converse and we started to walk out the gates of the school. i then heard a loud engine of a car. it was a recognisable one too. i looked over to the road to see a navy blue range rover.
as i was just about to walk onto the road, charlie pulled me back as the car parked right in front of me.

charlie rested his arm on my waist and my cheeks turned red.

"what the-" i was about to complain about the fact that the car nearly ran me over. but when i saw who stepped out of the car, i knew immediately to calm down.

"mia, get in the car." my older brother demanded me from inside of the car while chewing his gum furiously. i'm guessing mr oaks had already told them about my suspension.

"hudson-"

"mia." he stopped my sentence and i rolled my eyes. i turned over to charlie who was already looking over at me. i sighed. this is so embrassing. everyone was staring at me. i felt his hand fall from my waist. i took charlie's phone out of his pocket and began to jot my details down, my phone number and my address.

"meet me at my house in an hour,we'll practice there." it was only 3pm now,the show case started at 8:00. he gave me a thumbs up, with a small smile. "i'll see you later."

i turned around and opened the car door to the front seat. i threw my bag into the lower part of the seat and smelt a lavender scent in the car. hudson pulled out the school drive way and drove onto the main road to our house. i tried to not look at people who were staring at my through my window so i stared down at my ankle high black converse.

"you pushed her mia." hudson started off the conversation.

"if you heard what left her mouth hud-"
