Chapter Nine

Another day has came and Win was busy finalizing all of his summer designs.

knock knock

Win said, "Come in." and he laid back on his swivel chair
"Hey, Winnie the pooh." Love stood in front of his table
She said, "Here's an invitation for you." and she handed him an invitation
"For?" Win asked, opening the invitation

Good day, my friend!
It's Jema and if you're free this Thursday at 7 in the evening, I'd like you to come to my first ever fashion show.
Your presence would make me feel the uttermost happiness and feel free to bring your plus one.
I hope to see you there, Win.

"It's Jema and her first ever fashion show is on Thursday. She wants me to come." Win said, placing the invitation on his table
Love said, "Well, you don't have any schedule on that day."
Win looked at her, "She also said to bring a plus one."
She asked him, "When will Jennie be back?"
"On Friday." Win's response
Love shrugged, "She can't be your plus one then." and Win nodded at that
Win asked her, "How about you?"
Love answered, "I can't, Winnie, my mother's birthday is on that day as well."
Win said, "Oh, right, I'll just give my gift for her to you." and Love nodded at him
"I know who can be your plus one." Love said with a teasing smile
Win raised his eyebrow at her, "Who?"
Love wiggled her eyebrows, "You know who."
"Oh, stop it." Win rolled his eyes as he shook his head
Love said, "Come on, Win, I know you want to."
Win couldn't help but to ask, "Won't that be suspicious?"
Love responded, "No, people would think that the two of you are just good friends." Love responds
Win nodded at her, "Yeah, yeah, now, do your work."
Love sarcastically said, "Yes, boss." then she left Win's office
Win just shook his head in amusement
His eyes landed on his work again and he let out a heavy deep breath
He was just on his fifth design and he still has 50 more designs to finalize
He held his phone and decided to call Bright

Bright smiled as soon as he saw who was calling him
"I'll just take this call." Bright said to Tay
They were in a resort because a client was doing their prenup photoshoot
Bright answered the call, "Yes, beautiful?"
Win tiredly said, "Hey."
Bright immediately asked him, "Anything wrong? You sound so down."
Win asked back, "I'm just so tired. Are you busy?"
"Kinda, we're now in a resort." Bright's answer
Win mumbled, "Oh, okay."
Bright asked him, "Want me to go to you?"
Win immediately responded, "No, no, baby, it's fine. You're working and I don't wanna bother you."
Bright sighed, "Since when did you become a bother to me? I'll go to you, alright? Wait for me, babe,
be there in a few."
Win sincerely said, "Thank you, Bright."
Bright said, "Anything for you. I'll drive now."
Win uttered, "Okay, drive safely. See you." then Bright ended the call
"Hey, bro." Bright approached Tay
He followed, "Got a something urgent to do, but I'll be back."
Tay teased him, "Something? Or someone?"
Bright responded, "Win is stressed out. I'll just go to him and try to lessen the stress that he's feeling."
Tay nodded at him, "Alright, bro, don't worry we got this. Go to your man now."
"Thanks, man, owe you all one." Bright patted Tay's shoulder before running to the parking lot

Bright arrived at Win's store.
Bright greeted Love, "Good morning, Love."
Love smiled at him, "Hey, Bright, good morning as well. Just go inside directly."
"Thank you." Bright nodded at her with a smile
Bright slightly knocked at the door of Win's office
"Come in." he heard Win say that's why he came in
Bright closed the door and Win immediately approached him
"Hi." Win said as he hugged Bright
"Hey." Bright said, hugging him back
Win said, "I just need a hug from you to get me energized." that caused Bright to let out a small chuckle
Bright said, "Then I'm gonna give you lots of hug." and he hugged Win tighter
Win smiled as he laid his head on Bright's shoulder and snuggled closer into Bright's neck
Then after a while, they pulled away
Bright cupped Win's face, "You're doing great, babe."
Bright added, "Siempre creo en ti." *I always believe in you.*
Win smiled at that, "Muchas gracias." *Thank you so much.*
Win added, "I feel better now."
"I'm glad then." said by Bright
"Oh, before I forget, do you have plans this Thursday?" Win asked as he went to his table and get the invitation
Bright asked him, "I'll ask Mew about it. Why?"
Win responded, "A friend of mine who is also a designer, she's gonna have her first ever fashion show this Thursday
and if you're free on that day, I would like you to be my plus one."
Bright said, "We'll see if we don't have any work on Thursday."

Bright went back to the resort..
Bright immediately asked Mew, "Mew, do we have any work on Thursday?"
"None, I think, boss B." Mew's response
Bright nodded at him, "Thanks."

Bright sent that to Win.

That's great! I'll see you on Thursday then. Pick me up?

Win's response.

Gladly.

Bright replied.

Thursday morning, Jennie came back unexpectedly.
"Hello, Love!" Jennie happily said as she entered Win's store
Love slightly widened her eyes, "Jen." she stood up then they hugged
Love spoke again, "I thought you'll be back tomorrow." and they pulled away from each other
Jennie giggled, "I just want to surprise Win." and Love nodded at her
Then Jennie asked, "Is he busy?"
"No, you can go inside." Love said with a smile
Jennie nodded and smiled back then shewalked pat Love
Love cursed under her breath, "Shit."

knock knock

Win said, "Come in." and he didn't stop from working
"Winnie!" Jennie said that caused Win to look up
Win was shocked as well obviously
"Hey, Jen." Win stood up and hugged her
He added, "It's just Thursday."
Jennie said, "I know, I know. I just wanted to surprise you." and they pulled away
Win gave her a smile, "Well, I am."
Jennie asked him, "And today is Jema's first fashion event, right?"
Win slowly nodded at her, "Yes."
Then Jennie saw the invitation on Win's table
Jennie smiled, "Great! You have an invitation as well. We can just go together."
'Shit, what now?' Win thought.
Win smiled back at her, "Sure, Jen." and Jennie cheered then hugged him again
He couldn't just say no now, could he?

Bright finished his work for today and then his phone suddenly rang

He smiled as he answered it
Bright answered the call, "Hey, beautiful, I just finished my work and I'll leave the studio in a bit."
Win carefully said, "Uhm, ... Bright?"
Bright immediately sensed that something was off
He asked Win, "What is it?"
Win responded, "Jennie unexpectedly came back today."
Win added, "And she got invited as well for today's event and she likes me to go with her."
Bright felt his heart slightly cracked
"That's fine." Bright said with a small smile
"Bright, —"
Bright immediately cut him off, "I said that's fine. Good for the two of you. I know she missed you, Win, and I also know you missed her."
Bright added, "Uhm, I remember I still got photos to check. I have to go. Enjoy."
Then he quickly ended the call, he let out a heavy deep breath
He turned his phone off and started to work again

"Boss B, still there?" Tay asked after knocking
Bright answered, "Yes." and his friends entered his office
Mew said, "Why are you still here? It's already 7 in the evening."
Off followed, "I thought you have an event to attend to."
"Changed of plans." Bright's simple answer
"Bright." Tay said in his serious tone
Bright said, "Jennie unexpectedly came back and that's why Win will go with her to that event instead of me." and he heard his friends let out a heavy deep breath
Off nodded at him, "Bro, come on. Let's just drink this night away."
Mew and Tay immediately agreed
"Thanks, bros, but I don't have the mood to do a night out. I'll just work my ass off. I'll be fine, don't worry." Bright gave them an assuring smile
"Alright, we'll go home now." Mew said, patting Bright's shoulder
Tay added, "Just call us if you need anything."
Off uttered, "Bye, dude." and they left Bright's office
Bright let out a heavy deep breath as he laid back on his swivel chair
