Chapter 28.

Chapter Twenty Eight

Wedding day.
Bright was wearing a cream colored slacks, white dress shirt with a light pink neck tie on then also a cream colored coat
He drove himself to the small church he mentioned to Win last night
His friends were already in the church where Win and Jennie's wedding would occur
And of course, his friends would update him

Bright parked his car in front of the small church and stepped out.
He entered the empty small church and walked down the aisle
He found the church's priest by the table in front reading a bible
"Father." Bright politely said with a bow
"Bright." the priest stood up from his wooden chair and walked up to Bright
The priest asked, "You're all dressed up, son. Business meeting?"
Bright smiled as he shook his head
He politely asked, "I have a little favor to ask. Can we talk about it?"
The priest nodded, "Yes, sure, son." and the two of them sit on a long chair in the
front row
Bright said, "I'm getting married today." that caused the priest's whole face to lighten up
The priest reacted, "That's good news!"
Then he added, "Who's the lucky person?"
Bright responded, "Win. You know him. I once told you about him, father."
The priest calmly asked, "Oh, so he's the one you're having a secret relationship with?"
Bright politely nodded at him
The priest said, "Son, I'm happy that finally, your relationship with him will be right."
Bright smiled, "Me too, father."
Then he carefully asked, "I know that you're not against with the same gender loving each other, but is it too much if I ask you to wed us?"
The priest smiled, "Oh, son, I would be honored and delighted to." and he put his hand on Bright's shoulder
Bright smiled, "Thank you, father." he hesitate to hug the priest
The priest let out a small laugh as he hugged Bright back
The priest said, "Of course, you know you're like my son." then they pulled away
Bright carefully said, "But the thing is, he's just gonna run away from his wedding with Jennie today that's why we're gonna have to wait for a while." and the priest playfully glared at him
Bright pouted, "Father."  that caused the priest to smile
"I know how much the two of you love each other. How could I not? I told you to break off things with him for countless of times but did you listen to me?No, even just once." the priest said, shaking his head
The priest added, "And by the things you told me that he did for you, I can tell that he's really serious about you, son."
He smiled, "I can't wait to finally see and meet him."
"But just make sure, son, that when he got here, everything's clear. I don't want to witness someone shouting stop the wedding." the priest even joked
Bright laughed at that then he smiled and nodded, "Yes, father."

Win nervously stood in front of the aisle.
He looked at his parents,  his mom got a teary eyes while his father was his usual self, showing no expression at all
Win looked at his friends, they nodded at him, Win simply nodded back
Then he looked at Mew
Mew gave him a thumbs up sign, saying that everything was settled with Bright and that Love was already waiting outside on her car for Win
Win simply nodded at him
Win looked at his wrist watch and any minute by now, Jennie would arrive that's why he gotta move now
Win moved from his place and that alarmed the other guests, well, specially his father
His father blocked his way, "Metawin, what do you think you're doing?"
Win expected this
"Dad, I'm sorry, but I can't do this." Win shook his head
His father slightly raised his voice, "What do you mean you can't? Jennie's pregnant!"
Win firmly said, "Dad, no! Did you even hear anything about it from me? No, right? Because you easily believed her! Heck, even once, nothing happened between us."
Win added, "And how can I make love to someone I don't love?" that shocked his father
He scoffed, "Yes, dad. News flash, I don't love Jennie even since then. I just dated her because you wanted me to."
"But now that I found someone I truly love, I'm choosing him and you can't do anything about it." Win said before walking away
He gave his sisters a glance and they nodded at him
Win gave them a small smile
"Win! Metawin!" his father yelled behind, but Win just kept on walking
Win reached outside of the church and saw Love's car
Love immediately turned on the ignition when she saw Win running towards her car
Win was about to enter Love's car when Jennie called him
"Win!" Jennie who just arrived called him out
Win gave her a glance before getting inside Love's car
He uttered, "Let's go." and Love nodded
Love said, "Shit, Jennie's following us." while looking at the rearview mirror
Win looked back and saw Jennie's white bridal car
Love shook her head, "That girl is crazy, geez."
Win said, "You got to lose her."
"On it." Love said, stomping on the gas harder
She said, "Wear your seatbelt, Winnie." and Win did
She added, "Get ready, it will feel like you're in a fast and furious movie." while focused on driving, she kept on overtaking cars
Love took a hard left and then right and then left again
They finally lost Jennie
Win chuckled, "Damn! You're a cool chick."
Love shrugged, "Told you." and she turned her car on the way to the small church where Bright was waiting
Win just remembered that he left his phone to Gulf
He said, "Let me borrow your phone. I'll just call Gulf." and Love handed her phone to him
After a few rings, Gulf picked up the call
Gulf immediately asked, "Where are you?"
Win answered, "We're now on the way to the small church. We just had to lose Jennie 'cause she was trailing behind us."
Gulf said, "Okay, we're here already and we made sure that no one followed us. We even asked your siblings to go with us, but they said that they'll try if they succeed on distracting your father."
Win uttered, "I'm seeing the church now. Thank you, Gulf."
Gulf nodded, "Got you anytime." then he ended the call
Love parked her car beside their friends' cars
She put the bowtie on Win and also put a piece of pink rose in his coat's pocket
Then she said, "I'll enter the church first." and Win nodded at her
And after checking her look on the rearview mirror, she stepped out of her car

Bright felt more nervous when she saw Love entered the church.
He's been standing in front of the aisle for a while now
Love smiled at him as she walked down the aisle
Bright smiled back at her
Off and Tay would open the church's door for Win
The moment they opened it, Win stood in there looking so ethereal
Bright got even teary
Mew who was beside Bright, smiled and shook his head in amusement when he saw Bright's reaction
Win slowly walked down the aisle, seizing the moment
Then their eyes met, Win smiled at him
Bright smiled back then Win reached Bright
Win chuckled, "Why are you crying?"
Bright just rolled his eyes and put the two other pink roses in Win's coat's pocket
He whispered, "I thought you're not gonna show up." and they faced the priest who was already smiling at them, Bright smiled back at him
The priest started, "We're all gathered here today to witness two individuals who undoubtedly loves each other become one."
He continued, "I'm gonna be honest with you all, Bright, here, went to me and talked about his situation with Win." and that surprised Win
The priest smiled, "Though, it may not look like I know all about it, but yes, I do. That's why I am also happy to be here and even wed these two."

Vows time.
Bright nervously said, "I prepared this last night, but now, my mind is blank. Oh, my." that caused all of them to laugh
Then he started his vows, "Everyone here knows how hard our situation was. A lot of insecurities, heartaches, and conflicts came in the way, but I'm more than glad 'cause we made it through them all and look, where we are right now ..."
Bright continued, "And babe, you are worth it. Well, I'll admit there were times that I just wanted to give up and my friends knew about that, but everytime I was gonna try to do that, I would chicken out."
Win chuckled at that
"Finally, no more hiding, beautiful. I love you." Bright finished his vows
Win immediately wiped his tears before it could even drop
"Hey." Bright chuckled, helping Win wipe his tears
Win started his vows, "First, I wanna apologize for putting you in a situation where I had to hide you."
He added, "And you never deserved that. I am really happy that you chose to stay with me and now, after this, I can finally show you off in the world as my husband."
"I know you have an idea how much I love you, but the truth is, there's really no words that can describe how much I love you. I promise to never hide you away again, my love. You deserve to be shown off in more than a thousand ways." Win finished his vows
And they wore their wedding rings to each other
The priest smiled, "You may now sealed it with a kiss, sons."
They looked at each other as they slowly leaned closer
They smiled as they kissed
Then their friends cheered and clapped for them
They pulled away, still smiling
"Who would've thought that our first meeting with you being lawfully a Chivaaree? Congratulations." the priest said to Win
Win politely bowed, "Thank you so much, father."
The priest said, "No worries, son. Things may get rougher now that you're husbands, but I know there's nothing that the two of you can't handle."
Bright smiled, "Thank you, father."
The priest smiled back, "And I'll just be right here when you need some advice."
"Congratulations again, sons. And now, I'll let you celebrate with your friends." the priest added before leaving
Bright and Win politely bowed again
As soon as the priest left, their friends ran to them
Gun reacted, "Oh my gosh! I can't believe you guys are really married now."
New followed, "It all feels surreal."
Bright and Win smiled at each other as they intertwined their hands and they looked at their wedding ring
