Chapter Thirteen

As what Bright have expected, he woke up alone.
He let out a heavy deep breath and sit up
The letter on his nightstand caught his attention
He leaned forward to get it

Good Morning, baby!
By the time you read this, I'm probably on a plane already.
Don't be sad while I'm away, okay?
I promise you, someday, we get to travel the world without hiding anymore.
And just know that, I will do anything for you to be assured that I will never leave
you behind.
Missing you already. Take care of yourself.
See you after two days, mi amor.

'Did he just call me 'my love'?' Bright thought as he was still processing Win's letter.

On the other hand ...
Gulf asked his friends, "What if we follow them in Maldives?"
He was with Gun and Newwie and they were in Newwie's restaurant
Gun asked, "And if we did, aren't we gonna interrupt their time together?"
"No, Win would even love it if he finds out that we're also there." Gulf said, rolling his eyes
Newwie nodded at him, "I'm in."
Gun nodded as well, "Then I'm also in."
Gulf asked them again, "Guys, do you mind if there's another group that will come
with us?"
"And who they're gonna be?" Newwie asked back
Gulf just smiled at them

"Pack up, boys, we're going to Maldives." Mew said, standing up from his swivel chair
Tay said, "Stop fooling around, Suppasit."
Mew shook his head, "I'm not."
Off asked him, "What about boss B?"
"He's gonna come with us." Mew's answer
"Are you hearing yourself? You're just setting Bright up to his big heartbreak." said by Tay
Off added, "Tay has a point, Mew, why would Bright go there? Just to see Win with Jennie?"
Tay shook his head, "This is a bad idea, Mew."
Mew said, "Just trust me on this one, alright? Now, let's talk to Bright." and stood in front of the door of Bright's office
Off and Tay let out a heavy deep breath before following Mew

knock knock

"Bright?" Mew said while knocking
"Yeah? Come in." they heard Bright said so, they did
Off closed the door and the three of them sit on the sofa
Bright stood up from his swivel chair and sit across from them
"What's up?" Bright asked them
Mew answered, "Let's take a break."
Bright raised his eyebrow, "And by that, you mean?"
Mew said, "Let's go to Maldives." and Bright widened his eyes
"If you're doing that just to make me feel better, stop." Bright firmly said, shaking his head
"Bright, —"
Bright cut Mew off, "That's why I opened the studio even if it's Sunday because I want to forget about it and here you are, reminding me about it all over again."
Mew said, "Bright, come on, we're not gonna be in the same resort as them."
"You better be telling the truth." Tay simply whispered to Mew
"Fine, fine." Bright let out a heavy deep breath

Mew booked them the earliest flight.
They were in the airport, ready for their departure
"We're here now." Bright heard someone said
Bright and his friends immediately looked at the group who just arrived
Gun waved at them, "Hi, guys."
And Bright started to sense that coming with them was not a good idea
Tay asked, "Are they the another group you told us?" and Mew nodded at him
"Hey." Bright greeted to Win's friends
"Come on, bro." Off put an arm around Bright's shoulder and the two of them entered the plane first

Night time, they arrived in Maldives and a van drove them to their destination
"Sweet Paradise." Gulf said as he got out of the van
They all got down and Bright looked at the breathtaking view of the beach

'It would've been nicer if I came here with him.' Bright couldn't help but to think

They were staying in a one beach house.
Bright settled his things in their room
His roommates were Off and Tay
Mew and Gulf will stay with each other, everyone already knows what's going down between them
And of course, Gun and Newwie were roommates
Bright said, "I'm just gonna walk around."
Tay said, "Alright, we'll follow you when we finished settling our things." and Bright nodded at him
Then Bright went to the beach

On the other hand, Win was wearing a light green short-sleeved dress shirt with a khaki short.
He was walking on the beach with Jennie then they stopped to watch a fire show
Win felt the urge to look at his right side and he saw a familiar figure
Bright was walking while looking at the ocean
"Bright?" Win mumbled and as if on cue, their eyes met
Bright widened his eyes
'This is what I'm scared of happening.' Bright thought as he turned around and quickly walked away
Bright ignored his friends and walked past them
"Bright, wait up!" his friends caught up with him
Bright faced them, "Do you all think this is easy for me?"
He continued, "Is my feelings just a joke to you?"
His friends didn't know what to say
Bright gritted his teeth, "You made me look like I'm desperate for Win's attention."
He cursed, "Fuck it." then he left them
"Hey, guys." Win said as soon as he reached them
"Hey, Win." Off waved at him with a small smile
Tay asked, "Where's Jennie?"
"She's talking to my friends." Win's answer
Mew said, "We apologize if we interrupted your time together."
Win smiled at them, "You're not interrupting anything at all. It's fine. Actually, I'm thankful that you're all here."
Then he asked, "But where did Bright go?"
"He went to that direction." Off said, pointing the direction where Bright went
Win gave them an assuring smile, "Don't feel bad about it, guys."
"I'll talk to him and cover up for me." Win added before leaving them
He kept on walking and he found Bright sitting on top of a big formed rock
He cleared his throat and that caught Bright's attention
Win asked, "Lend a hand?"
Bright let out a heavy deep breath first before standing up and lend out his two hands to Win
Win smiled as he held into Bright's hands and he helped him up
The two of them sit down
"I'm sorry for coming here. They told me that we would be in a different resort." Bright said while just looking at the front
"Why are you saying sorry? Aren't you happy that we're here? Even if it's not just how we planned to, at least, we're here together." Win said while looking at Bright
"Not like this, Win, not when she's also here." Bright said, looking at him as well
Win simply swallowed the lump in his throat as he looked away
Bright said, "I'll just leave tomorrow morning." and that caused Win to look at him again
Win slightly shook his head, "What? Baby, don't leave."
"So, I could watch the two of you be lovey-dovey with each other?" Bright scoffed, shaking his head as he looked away
"When did I ever act like that with her in front of you?" Win asked, looking at him with disbelief
Win added, "I'm trying very hard to lessen our lovey-dovey interactions that you're talking about even if I know that it's totally unfair for her." and Bright stood up
"Having this relationship in the first place makes it unfair for her as well." Bright said before leaving
Win was in pure disbelief
