As my eyes flutter open, I sense a soft breeze. Jaden's eyes meet mine, and it's as if a spell breaks.

"I should probably head out before Ryland notices I'm in your room," Jaden suggests.

"Alright, take care," I reply, feeling a bit disappointed.

We've only managed a three-hour nap, and luckily, Ryland hasn't returned home yet.

But then, my phone buzzes, and it's Ryland.

Ri: Hey, Brother. What's up?

Ry: Where's Vinnie and Jaden?

Ri: Vinnie left, and I'm not sure about Jaden. I can check if you want?

Ry: Yeah, please.

I find Jaden in the living room.

Ri: Ryland was wondering where you were.

J: (chuckles) Classic Ryland.

Ri: Tell me about it. Well, Jaden is right here. What's up, Ryland?

Ry: I'm thinking of throwing a party on Friday.

Ri: A party with underage drinking?

Ry: Come on, who cares about that?

Ri: What do you think, Jaden?

J: Can't wait.

Ri: Boys, seriously. Alright, let's do it, but only invite members from Sway House and Hype House.

Ry: Deal. See you later.

Ri: Bye.

With the coast clear now that Jaden has left to get some mail, I decide to change into a pair of comfy sweatpants and a cozy oversized hoodie. It's so warm and comforting.

I go to Vinnie's room and lay his hoodie on his bed.

"Thanks, V," I murmur, even though he's not present.

As the rest of the house returns home, we decide to head to the beach and enjoy the sunset together.

Time skip to when we arrive at the beach

"I'm going for a swim," I announce, peeling off my hoodie and darting into the water. Jaden follows suit, taking off his shirt and shoes. He's much quicker, and in a playful move, he lifts me up and tosses me into the water.

"Jaden, you're in trouble!" I holler, before chasing after him.

Meanwhile, in Ryland's point of view:

"Do you think they're dating?" Kio inquires.

"I doubt it. Riley promised me she wouldn't," I reply confidently.

"Do you trust her on that?" Kio probes.

"Absolutely, she's my sister."

"You know, I kind of ship them," Mac chimes in.

"Count me in," Nick adds.

"So, what do you guys think of my party idea for Friday?" I ask the group.

"Are you going to let Riley come?" Kio jokes.

"Even if I didn't, she'd find a way to crash it," I chuckle.

"Have you ever seen her drunk?" Nick asks with a grin.

"No, have you?"

"Yeah, she's a whole different person."

At that moment, Riley and Jaden return, both drenched and laughing.
