Chapter 27

Time skip to when I arrive in the school's parking lot

"Hey, Zack," I greet him, wrapping him in a hug.

"Hi, Riley. You needed me?" Zack responds.

"Yeah, so me and Vinnie haven't been working out lately, and I saw him with Nailea in his lap yesterday. It made me wonder if he loves me as much as I love him," I confess, releasing the heavy burden I've been carrying.

"Damn, that was a lot. Is that why you haven't been posting TikToks with them lately?" Zack probes.

"Yeah, well, do you wanna go to the skatepark? I'm still training that kickflip," I suggest, eager to shift the focus.

Time skip to 4:45 pm

After spending some quality time skating, I realize it's almost time for me to head back.

"Hey, Zack, it's been so nice, but I promised Noen to be home at 5, so I gotta go," I announce reluctantly.

"You stay with Noen?" Zack inquires.

"Yeah, do you know him? I think it's the only place I won't get overwhelmed with paparazzi," I explain.

"Yeah, I've seen him on TikTok before. Well, bye," Zack bids farewell with a hug, and I rush to my car, Payton's music filling the air once again as I drive home.

Time skip to when I arrive at Noen's house

"I'm home," I announce as I enter, greeted by Noen emerging from the living room in a disheveled state, accompanied by a shirtless Chase.

"Good, we're getting Taco Bell for dinner. What do you want to get?" Noen asks, seamlessly transitioning into dinner plans.

As we indulge in our meals, I can't help but notice the extravagance of the dining table.

"Why do you have this giant table when it's usually just you and Chase?" I inquire, curious about the mismatch.

"I normally eat in my bed, so this table is just here if someone comes over," Noen explains, prompting me to stifle a laugh.

"Why are we talking about tables now? And to be honest, this table is a pretty good and comfortable place for having fun, you know," Noen remarks, eliciting laughter as I struggle to swallow my water.

After dinner, I assist Noen and Chase with cleaning up before retiring to my room, where I change into more comfortable attire and unwind with an episode of South Park.

In the midst of my viewing, Noen appears at my doorframe, sparking a brief conversation before joining me to watch the show.

As the night progresses, I find myself overwhelmed with emotions, prompting me to seek solace in watching a movie. However, the experience leaves me feeling more despondent than ever, leading to a sleepless night fraught with tears and inner turmoil.

Time skip to the next morning

Awakening to Noen's voice, I'm greeted with a startled expression upon his realization of my disheveled appearance.

"Hey, Riley," he addresses me, concern evident in his tone.

"Wow, what happened to you?" he inquires, prompting me to hurriedly address my appearance and tend to the missed calls on my phone.

"I have to call Blake," I announce with a raspy voice, but before I can act, Noen scoops me up and heads downstairs for a morning swim, much to my protest.

Upon being unceremoniously tossed into the water, I retaliate by pulling Noen in with me, eliciting a playful exchange between us.

Afterward, we both retreat to change into swimwear, enjoying a leisurely swim under the sun's warm rays before snapping some photos for social media.

it gets a lot of bad comments, mostly subjecting my body...

but i've been so careful with food?
