Chapter 24

Time Skip: Arrival at the Airport

We endured a 20-minute wait at the airport, the exhaustion from a sleepless night weighing heavily on me. My eyelids drooped, and I found myself seeking solace on Zack's shoulder, attempting to catch a few winks.

"What are you doing?" Zack chuckled softly, interrupting my attempt at rest.

"Sleeping. Now, be quiet," I retorted playfully, sharing in his laughter.

Zack's POV

As Riley drifted off to sleep, I occupied myself with my phone, exchanging messages with my mom. Spotting Ryland in the distance, I carefully shifted Riley's head off my shoulder and glided over to him.

"Hey, you're Zack, right?" Ryland inquired.

"Yeah, Riley fell asleep while waiting. She's over there," I replied, gesturing towards Riley's dozing form.

Vinnie's POV

Spying Riley asleep in one of the seats, I scooped her up gently. The chilly wind outside stirred her from her slumber as we exited the airport.

"Vinnie?" she murmured sleepily.

"Hey, Babygirl," I greeted with a smile. "I'm so sorry for just disappearing like that. Nailea called me and told me everything. I'm so sorry for just believing in it," Riley apologized, her words trailing off as I silenced her with a kiss.

"It's okay, Riley," I reassured her. "I love you," she whispered.

"Love you more," I replied, settling her into the passenger seat before taking the wheel.

In the backseat, Kio, Nick, and Ryland joined us, while Zack opted for an Uber, promising to catch up later.

Back to Riley's POV

Finally reunited with Vinnie, relieved to find out he hadn't cheated on me, we sat in the car, with One Direction serenading us.

Time Skip: Arrival at Home

Bounding into the house, I plopped onto the couch, with Vinnie joining me as we snuggled up to watch "Maze Runner 3."

Kio emerged, dressed to the nines. "Wow, what happened to you?" I quipped.

"Olivia's coming over," he announced.

"Olivia? From my class?" I inquired.

"Yeah," Kio confirmed, rushing off to change his attire.

Moments later, a knock sounded at the door, revealing Olivia. "Hey, hottie," I greeted, enveloping her in a hug.

"What are you guys doing this late?" I prodded.

"I'm taking her out for dinner," Kio replied

"do we think the same?" i ask

 "sure thing bestie, spy time" Nick says and we run to our rooms 

"what, im confused?" Vinnie says "sorry have to go, see you later babe" i say and kiss his forehead 

"come on get in the car" Nick says and we run to his car,

 i find Olivia's location in my phone and we make the plan on the road.

we see Kio's car parking in front of the most romantic restaurant in the city and Kio getting out running to the other side and opening the door for olivia.

Olivia takes Kio's hand and they walk in

 "come on let's go" i say.

 we order a table not that long from them, and we order water while listening to their conversation 

"how do i look, is it to ugly or too simple?" Olivia asks "you look great bub" Kio answers,

 i smirk and look at Nick.

 i form a heart with my hands, that's our secret sign language for a couple.

 Nick makes a peace sign which means i ship, we laugh silently before heading out of the restaurant again 

"we need to get home before them so we can see them get out of the car"  i say, we just drive in silence before parking home again, we lean the car seats a little bit back so they won't notice us. 

"i have missed this" Nick says 

"do you remember back home when we always did this when Naya and Ryland was on dates" i say 

my brother Ryland and Nick's sister Naya dated for almost 3 years back home but decided to end it when we moved.

"omg yeah that was so fun" i say and we laugh, we sit there and talk for like 10 minutes until we see some light and a car pulling up to the house.

again we see Kio getting out, running to the other side, getting Olivia out, and kissing her, on the lips, a really long kiss..
