It's been a couple of hours, and most of us are feeling a bit better, so we decided to play Uno, Vinnie and I against Chase and Jaden.
Not because I wanted to play with Jaden, but they randomly joined in.

We have not talked about what happened at breakfast.

*time skip to when we have played some time*

"Haha, we won again, take that, Losers," Jaden says, jumping around as they beat us for the second time.

"okay guys, i can't take this tension between you guys anymore, if Jaden and i win another round you, Riley, have to do 7 minutes in heaven with Jaden, so you guys can figure this out" Chases says collecting the cards

"there's nothing to figure out, I'm never talking to him again" i say, taking a sip of my cup.

"Come on, Riley, how old are you, fr?" Jaden says, mixing the cards.

"16, actually, but fine, let's do it, but if Vinnie and I win, I won't ever have to talk to Jaden again."

"Fine," Jaden says, shaking my hand,

we lost..

"fuck!" Vinnie says as he smashes his hand down on the table.

"What are you so pressed about?" Jaden asks.

"Haha, very funny, Jaden, you know what usually happens at 7 minutes in heaven, right?"

"Yeah, of course."

"Alright, come on, Jaden," I said, getting up and heading towards the dark closet.

"Now, can you please tell me why you got mad at me at first?" I confront

"his snaps, Riley, you were in his gamer chat.r"

"omg, come on, Jaden, he did not mean it like that. t"Did you see the way he looked at you, Riley?"

"What?"

"I also heard him obsessing about you to your brother."

"What are you even saying, Jaden?"I was about to cry...

"Can't you see,e Riley, no matter what I did, I would never have the chance against him?"

"Jade, no, please. I don't care about Ryland or Vinnie right now,w okay. I loved you so much."

I cupped his head in my hand. Im so sorry, Riley, I should've listened to you," he said as he broke down in my arms.

Hey Jaden, it's fine, okay. We can put all of this behind us and be friends."

Friends?"

"Best friends"

"Best friends?"

"besties even if that's what you want it to be"

"Okay, he dried away his tears

"god, I really wanna kiss you right now," I whispered, turning away. 

"Well, why don't you do it?I won't snitc.h"

"Jaden, no, buI i do really wanna hug you, as the start of our new friendship"

"Riley," he whispered, his voice soft, carrying a mixture of longing and resignation.

"Jaden," I replied, my voice mirroring his.

In that moment, time seemed to suspend, and everything around us faded into insignificance. The weight of unspoken words hung between us, a silent plea to hold onto the magic we had briefly tasted.

As we pulled away from the hug, our foreheads rested against each other, our breaths mingling in the night air. A shared sigh escaped, a mingling of regret and acceptance.

"We should go back, they probably forgot about the time," Jaden finally said, his voice tinged with a mix of reluctance and understanding.

"Yeah," I agreed, my heart heavy but knowing that this was the right path.

"I think I need to go home now," Chase says as we meet in the kitchen. 

"Yeah, me too," Jaden says. 

"Bye guys, "I say as I hug them both,

"we are going to the mall, anybody wanna come?" Ryland sayss

"Sure," I say,

"yeah, me too." Vinnie says

it'y fun in the mall, and Vinnie eats ice cream and I buy some clothes and other stuff.We go into a toy store, and it's like everybody is 5 years old again. So, Theoysrunsun around playing light sword fight, the girls are looking at dolls, and it's honestly really fun.Ass we go out of the mall again Fletcher notices us.

"Hi Vinnie and Riley, the fans wanna know, are you guys dating?" 

"Nope, "I say as I get into the car.

"That was kinda mean," Vinnie says,

Nahhh"

"Have you seen TikTok Room?" Kio says and hands me his phone,e

"new couple on the way, and a picture of us eating ice cream,"Ii say as I laugh
