Chapter 10: Best Friends
Ali's POV.
"I think so."
"Well, maybe you should make sure."
"Alright." I go back upstairs, from what I can tell, the bag is already packed. Where are we going? What's going on?
PING. I look around, and I see a phone. It doesn't look like my phone, but at the same time, I feel it is.
Have a good trip (smiley face emoji). It's from Emily, least there was one good thing in my life.
Thanks, see you when I get back?
Sure. I walk back downstairs, then outside. Charlotte's outside, this man, the one I'm in photos with comes out after me. This car pulls up, a man comes out, another person from the photos. They all talk. This feels really messed up, if he's my brother, and Charlotte's my sister, why are they dating, this is messed up, who dates their sibling. Me introduces himself as Mr Dilaurentis, could he be my dad? Does he not even know his own daughter? Mr. D asks if Charlotte's coming with us, she turns around, and we get in the car.
Everything, despite my confusion, is perfect. Nothing is wrong, I was never abused by my father, I don't have social anxiety, me and the four girls are good friends, and I can just be me, without having to hide. Truly, this is the life. I feel this intense headrush. I know what's going on now, Charlotte's my secret sister, but I'm not supposed to know that, and she goes by Cece, we're going to Cape May for some time.
When we arrived there, the place was beautiful. I love this place, I could sure get used to it. I could sure get used to life in general for sure.
A couple hours have gone by, and I'm having the time of my life. Who knew you could have this much fun, in the small amount of time.
I flicker my eyes, everythings blurry, but I can tell I'm not in Cape May anymore.
"What happened? Where am I?"
"You're in the hospital sweety." Great, just great.
"No, I was just in Cape May."
"Your mind was, but you've been here for the past couple hours." I slam my head back against the pillow.
"Why are we in a hospital?"
"You fell down some stairs, did you expect me to just let you lay on the couch till you regained conshinus?"
"It wouldn't have hurt."
"For all I know, you could have been internally bleeding. You could've died if I didn't rush you here."
"I would've preferred that option."
"No, you would've."
"My life is a disaster, I can never catch a break."
"We're here, and there's Emily, I think it's going alright."
"I can't have any peace without there being repercussions."
"This was just an accident."
"No it wasn't. I was cornered in an alley, kidnapped-"
"Kidnapped?!"
"Yes, I escaped, running for my life, when I trip on the stairs."
"We need to tell the police."
"No, no police."
"We have to tell them."
"No."
"This is not up for discussion."
