The doorbell rang as Wolfgang was about to speak. The Nachtstern frowned as Hope stood up to answer the door, shaking his head. He wasn't expecting any visitors.

"Julian will get it, don't worry." Wolfgang said and Hope shook her head, "I gave him the rest of the day off."

"You gave my butler a holiday?" Wolfgang asked and Hope smirked at him in a way that reminded the hunter of her family. The Nachtstern shook his head, standing up, "We need to talk about how much control you have here."

"You didn't seem to be complaining about me being in control an hour ago." Hope replied and Wolfgang shook his head, "Sex is a different topic, Geliebte."

Wolfgang opened the door, his playful smirk fading as he took in the person on the other end. The woman was beautiful, with blonde hair and pink lips curved into a smile. Wolfgang swallowed thickly, his hazel eyes clouding over as his face settled into an unreadable expression.

"Darling, who is this?" The woman asked. Hope's eyebrows creased with confusion as she turned to look at Wolfgang, fixing him with a glare, "Who am I? Who the bloody hell is she?"

Wolfgang opened his mouth as though he was about to explain but the blonde beat the Nachtstern to it, meeting Hope's cerulean eyes as she did so.

"I'm Margaret." She introduced, smiling at the tribrid in a way that made Hope want to snap her neck, "Wolfgang's wife."

The Mikaelson turned to look at her boyfriend, her eyes unreadable as she met his gaze.

"Did she just say wife?"

"I swear I can explain." Were the first words to come out of Wolfgang's mouth. Hope crossed her arms, fixing him with a glare as she watched him, "It better be a damn good explanation."

"She's my ex-wife." Wolfgang said as he closed the door. Margaret huffed, crossing her arms as she turned her vampire hearing to hear what he was saying, met only by silence.

"She doesn't seem to think that." Hope replied. Wolfgang let out a sigh, gesturing towards the living room, "How about you come inside, and we talk about this?"

"I want you to explain it now." Hope demanded. Wolfgang clenched his jaw, why couldn't Hope just listen to him so he could explain this?

"Margaret is my ex-wife. I divorced her." Wolfgang explained. Hope regarded him carefully, "You never mentioned her."

"Because she meant nothing to me." Wolfgang replied. Hope shook her head, her blue eyes showing how hurt she was that he didn't tell her something like this, "She meant enough for you to marry her."

"That was Klaus' fault!" Wolfgang snapped. Hope stepped back at his tone of voice as the Nachtstern took several breaths to calm himself. Wolfgang was angry, a trait he had come to associate with the woman on the other side of the door. Margaret brought out the worst in him as much as Hope inspired the best.

"I can't deal with this right now." Hope said after a long moment, shaking her head as she stepped away. Wolfgang moved forwards but the tribrid held up a hand, "I just... I just need space."

Hope turned on her heel and walked away. Wolfgang watched as her figure retreated through his house to the garage, where she was undoubtedly getting her car before leaving. The Nachtstern inhaled sharply before he snapped, throwing a table across the hall, where it landed against the floor, shattering into pieces. Wolfgang released the breath before punching the wall, his supernatural strength making his fist go all the way through, leaving a large hole.

**********

Wolfgang walked out of Thornhill, stopping in the foyer of his mansion as he glanced towards the hole he had punched in the wall. Like the broken table, which had been replaced, the hole had disappeared. Wolfgang shook his head, clearly Julian was to blame for the repairs.
