Wolfgang and Hope sat in silence as Alaric pulled up outside the church. Hope got out of the SUV as soon as it parked, avoiding Wolfgang but the vampire followed suit. The tribrid continued to walk towards the church, determined not to let Wolfgang speak to her but suddenly stopped when she saw a boy sat outside, writing in a journal.

"Landon?" Hope asked. Wolfgang narrowed his eyes at the boy, who took his earphones out as he stared at the Mikaelson. To Wolfgang, something about him seemed oddly familiar, almost as though Wolfgang had seen him before.

"You two know each other?" Alaric questioned as he left the car, joining them and Hope nodded, "It's a long story."

"Well, you can tell us later, open the door." Alaric said. Wolfgang nodded and sped over to the church, ripping the door off it's hinges, heading into the church.

The priest glanced up at the vampire and Wolfgang smiled, his vampire face emerging. The priest and the two adults looked horrified until Hope arrived and knocked them out.

"Ad somnum." Hope muttered. Wolfgang and Alaric worked to secure chains into the floor and restrain the transitioning werewolf.

"What the hell?" Landon asked as he stepped into the church just as Rafael completed his transition. Wolfgang glanced at the black furred wolf and felt uncomfortable. Although they couldn't harm him, Wolfgang still felt a vampire's instinctual mistrust of werewolves.

**********

Wolfgang was sat in the back seat of the SUV as Alaric drove back to the Salvatore School. The vampire was sat behind Hope, with Landon next to him and a sleeping Rafael next to Landon. The Nachtstern sipped on the tea from the gas station and made a face as the familiar taste of vervain burned his throat. Alaric watched him and laughed.

"The coffee that bad?" The headmaster asked and Wolfgang shook his head.

"No, the tea has vervain in it." Wolfgang replied. Alaric nodded and turned to Hope.

"So, how do you two know each other?" Alaric questioned, clearly talking about Landon. Hope sighed and turned to look at Landon as Wolfgang leaned forward, curious.

"He used to serve me milkshakes at the Mystic Grill." Hope replied, her voice soft in a way that Wolfgang didn't like. The answer gave Wolfgang the information he needed to place where he knew Landon and he thought back to the day of Hope's first full moon as a werewolf.

"Peanut Butter Blast, whipped cream at the bottom." Landon replied on cue. Wolfgang laughed coldly and Hope glanced at him from the gap between the seat and the door, her eyes unreadable.

"To remember after all this time, how lovely." Wolfgang said sarcastically and Landon narrowed his eyes at him. The vampire returned his stare with a cruel smirk, "You're kind of a dick."

"Oh, sweetheart, I've been called worse." Wolfgang replied and Hope faced the front again, her lips set in a tight frown. Landon turned to Hope with a sad smile.

"I asked her to dance but you blew me off for some other dude." Landon continued, whispering mournfully. That put a smile on Wolfgang's face as he thought back to that night.

"Well it's a good thing that I'm the other dude." Wolfgang added and Landon looked at the vampire, hurt. Wolfgang smiled to himself as he took a deep sip of his tea and Landon turned to Hope, his eyes betrayed.
