It had been several hours since things had gone to shit and Kailey was finally asleep, leaving Luka still sat by her bed, now effectively alone. Not that he was complaining, Kailey needed to rest and he was more than happy to look after her whilst she slept, just in case she needed anything.

He surveyed her sleeping form, still in the clothes she had changed into that morning as she hadn't bothered to change before getting into bed. Which also mean that she hadn't bothered to take off her shoes... Or get into a comfortable position.

He sighed slightly, leaning over to undo her laces and gently tug off her shoes before standing and pulling her blanket down to the bottom of her bed, so he could put it over her once she seemed more comfortable. At this particular moment, she was laying on her stomach, her neck twisted to the side so that she was able to breathe. He sighed again and rolled her so her body was facing the same direction as her head then rolled her again so she was laying on her back, all the while taking care not to wake her. This wasn't exactly a difficult task considering the fact that it really didn't seem like she'd wake up even if a plane crashed directly into the room. He wasn't sure whether or not that was a good thing...

After placing the blanket over her, he sat back down on the floor, cross-legged with his chin still resting on the mattress. He was determined to stay by her side and stay awake until she woke up again. He doubted it'd be good if she woke up and found that she was all alone. Not only that but what if she had a nightmare and had no one to comfort her once she woke up? He wasn't about to let that happen.

The sort of peace that had settled in the room was short-lived, however, as a gentle knock pierced through the silence. Luka grimaced but stood, walking quickly to the door.

It was James that greeted him on the other side, seemingly unsurprised that Luka was, once again, in Kailey's room. Not that he cared whether or not James was surprised, what he and Kailey did in their own time was none of James' business.

"I just wanted to tell you and Kailey that dinner was ready, I wasn't sure whether or not either of you would want to eat but I thought I'd let you know just in case," He said.

"Kailey's asleep right now," Luka said, turning just enough so that James could see Kailey, "Besides, do you really think it'd be the best idea to have Kailey go down to dinner? I mean I'm assuming Sam'll be there and it doesn't seem like a great idea to have the two in the same room right now."

James cringed slightly, realising just how true that was.

"I heard what happened in the hall... Is she-"

"No. She's not Ok. Though don't tell her I said that cos we all know that if we asked her she'd say she was fine or some other bull shit like that. Which quite obviously isn't true considering she practically faceplanted into that bed without even bothering to take her shoes off or anything." Luka said, glaring slightly at James. He didn't know why he was getting angry at James when none of this was really his fault, it was Sam that made his Eliana feel like this. And he called her the monster...

James nodded sadly, glancing back at Kailey briefly before turning back to Luka.

"Even still, if you want I can take you two some food after, for when she wakes up...?" He said carefully.

"I'm not hungry," Kailey said, turning the attention of both boys over to where she was now sitting up in bed, the blanket still resting on her lap.

"El... Are you alright? Do you need anything?" Luka asked, rushing back over to her.

She shook her head, waving him away before standing and walking to the door where James stood.

This was either going to end very badly or... Even worse, at this point, there was no good ending for whatever was about to happen...
