"And you're sure I have to be here?" Shinso asked quietly as they walked up to the door.
"Yes, my parents invited you so your here," Kaminari said, sound slightly mad that Shinso kept asking.
On Friday Kaminari told Shinso that his family had invited the alpha to dinner and he was very sceptical of going. Kaminari had assured him that his parents understood that the summer events were just a big misunderstanding but that didn't stop Shinso's unease. As far as he knew they could think he was just manipulating Kaminari into thinking he wasn't cheating. He didn't want to be on their bad side and would have prefered waiting a little longer for things to blow over before he met his boyfriends parents.
"What if they hate me?" Shinso asked looking down at his boyfriend. "I don't want your parents to hate me." He had brought a small bouquet of flowers as a sort of peace offering but he knew thet that wasnt going to smooth everything over.
"There not going to hate you Hitoshi, calm down." Kaminari knocked a few times on the door and waited for his parents to answer. Shinso took a deep breath and wated for the door to open. The door oppened to reveal a middle aged women, probably Kaminari's mom.
"Denki! You're home!" She smiled and pulled her son into a tight hug.
Shinso forgote for a moment that Kaminari was adopted, his smile was a near replica to his moms, same with his eyes. "Hey mom, this is Hitoshi," Kaminari said gesturing to the alpha beside him.
"It's nice to meet you, these are for you," Shinso said with a bow and handed Kaminari's mom the flowers.
"Thank you," she said taking the flowers. She eyed her son for a moment silently asking him something before inviting them inside. "I'm happy you are home sweetie," Kaminari's mom said taking Kaminari's face in her hands for a moment and kissing his forhead.
"Mommm," Kaminari whined trying to pull away. His face was red from embaressment. "We talked about this," he muttered.
"Right, not in front of your friends," she said with a small laugh.
Shinso couldn't help but chuckle at the omega's red face. Kaminari's cheeks turned a darker red. "Don't laugh," he said to Shinso.
"I'm not," Shinso said holding back his laugh the best he could.
Kaminari rolled his eyes at the alpha who was clearly laughing before turning back to his mom. "Where's dad? I thought you said he would be here," Kaminari asked his mom.
"He got held back at work," she said. "He should be home soon."
"Ok, can I show Hitoshi around?" Kaminai asked. His mother nodded and Kaminari dragged Shinso up the stares to his old room. "This was my room," Kaminari said jumping onto the nicely made bed. While he was gone his parents had made it a spair bedroom for when their extended family came over.
"It's got a nice view," Shinso said looking out the window. Kaminari's house was across from the park so there were a lot of trees and a small playground.
"Yep!" Kaminari said coming up behind Shinso. "Oh! I gotta show you something!" He said excitedly opening the window.
Shinso wasn't sure what he was expecting, but for his boyfriend to start crawling out the window was not it. "Where are you-" Shinso was cut off when Kaminari grabed his hand and pulled him closer to the window so he would follow.
"Come on, just trust me," Kaminari said half way out the window alreayd. "You do trust me, don't you?"
Shinso did trust him, he would trust Kaminari with his life. "Just don't fall," he said as Kaminari continued all the way out the window still pulling Shinso with him. The way Kaminari's roof was set up there was a small overhand that he could use to climb onto the roof. Shinso sighed and followed him out the window. this felt like one of those weird romantic sceans in a book or movie when they go out onto the roof and stargaze or something, except, there were no stars out.
"Ta-da!" Kaminari said happily.
"Sit down before you fall," Shinso said pulling Kaminari down so he would be sitting beside him. "I don't want to have to explain to your parents that you got a broken arm or something from falling off the roof. they hate me enough already."
"My parents don't hate you," Kaminari said.
"Ok, maybe they don't hate me, but they definetly dont like me," Shinso said looking at Kaminari. "I mean to them I'm the guy that broke your heart."
Shinso thought the sun hitting the omega's skin perfectly, his golden hair shone and the black streek stuck out more then usual. "But you've made up for it now," he said. "And I still love you," he said quietly.
Shinso smiled slightly. "I love you too Denki," Shinso said leaning back on his hands. "So why'd you bring me up here?" Shinso asked.
"When I still lived here this was sort of like my hide out, an escape from reality," Kaminari started to explain. "I'd come up here when I was overwhelmed or sad. It was always so peaceful and helped put me in a good mood." Kaminari pulled his knees into his chest as he stared out over the park. "I wanted to be able to share it with you," he said turning his head so his cheek was pressed against his knee and he was looking over at Shinso.
"I see how this would be calming," Shinso said. There wasn't much happening, everything seemed to move slowly. There weren't many places that you could experience this.
Kaminari's head fell on Shinso's shoulder. "I spent a lot of time up here over the summer," he said quietly.
Shinso rested his head on Kaminari's and placed his hand over the omega's. He wasn't sure what he should say to that, he knew he had hurt Kaminari but that didn't mean he knew what to say when it was brought up like this. "I'm sorry," he whispered.
There was a long silence where they both just enjoyed being in each others presence. "You know," Kaminari said lifting his head to look at the alpha. "You're the only other person I've brought up here, not even my parents come here with me."
Shinso smiled down at his boyfriend. "I feel honoured," he said.
Kamianri grinned. "You should." He laughed a little. Kaminari pulled Shinso into a soft kiss letting his eyes flutter closed.
In this moment it was just them. In this moment nothing could hurt them. In this moment they were with each other and they were happy.
When they pulled away there was a moment where their foreheads lent together. Both still had their eyes closed.
"I'm happy I came with you today," Shinso said quietly as he pulled away from Kaminari, still looking down at him.
"As if I would have let you stay in the dorms," Kaminari said with a laugh.
"Fair enough." Shinso shrugged, a small smile playing at his lips.
"Ok come on, let's finish the tour, and my dad should be home so you can meet him too," Kaminari said making his way back to the window.
Shinso helped him back into the house before crawling through the window as well.
