The next morning I'm woken up by someone ripping back my bed curtains, blankets, and shaking me awake.

"You must truly have a death wish." I groan, rolling over and hiding my face.

"You wouldn't hurt me." Cedric's voice says. I peak up at him, a glare in my eyes.

"What?" I demand.

"Get dressed. We're having a breakfast date." He says. I sigh and sit up.

"Fine. Get out." I say. He kisses my cheek and heads for the common room.

I get dressed in jeans, a navy sweater, and black flats. I brush back my hair-pinning the front strands back-brush my teeth, and head to the common room. There I find Cedric waiting with a picnic basket.

"Beautiful." He says before kissing me. Our kisses are usually kept out of the public eye, save for forehead, temple, cheek, and hands, so kissing me so openly in the middle of the common room was a surprise. A nice surprise, but a surprise.

"Thank you." I say, kissing him again quickly before stepping back. "So what's the occasion?"

"You forgot?" He asks with a dropped jaw. I smirk and wait for him to get it. "You're devious."

"Happy anniversary." I say smugly. He offers me his hand which I take all too happily.

"Our picnic will be on the pitch-"

"Surrounded by the stands for privacy." I say, nodding appreciatively. He points to me meaning I'm right.

"But we need to make a quick stop on our way there."

"For what?" I ask curiously. He holds up a slip of paper and I understand immediately. "Well, let's go then."

After a quick stop for Cedric to put his name in the goblet we then head towards the front doors. The sky decided it wanted to rain again. Cedric waves his wand over us, takes my hand, and walks us outside as if it were sunny. None of the water touched us.

"How come we can't use this spell during Quidditch?"

"Not every student knows it, so it would be unfair."

"And professional teams?"

"Not everyone knows it, so it would be unfair." He says, sending me one of his sarcastic smirks I've come to love.

When we reach the field Cedric puts up a ward with the same spell so the rain falls around us. I help him spread out a blanket and we take a seat. I study the blanket and then look back up at Cedric with a raised eyebrow.

"Is this Tommy's comforter?" I ask. He just smiles at me, meaning yes. I laugh at that.

"He'll get it back."

"Soaked." I say, still laughing.

"Are you objecting?"

"Hell no." I say, happily.

Cedric begins to unpack the basket to show all of my favorite breakfast foods and a thermos of hot chocolate.

After a breakfast where I can spend uninterrupted time with my boyfriend we return to the castle. There's a large group of people around the cup, watching others put their names in. I glare at the cup for a few second before continuing down into the Hufflepuff common room.

That night I sit to Cedric's left while we eat and-most importantly-wait for the goblet to make up its mind.

"The Goblet of Fire has almost made its decision. Now, when I read off the names of the champions you are to make your way through the side door behind the professors' table and wait there for your first instructions." Dumbledore says as the last of the food fades from the tables. Not long after the flames turn red everyone holds their breath.
